How To Start The Head Of Rusty Ardghal
Kick off your adventure by making your way to the bounty board located at the Horns of the South fortress, which is situated in the southwestern part of the map. Take a look at the bounty board that stands next to Cillian within the central courtyard region.
Among the first four rewards displayed at the start, this one is included right away when the game begins.
After studying your objective, you should make your way towards the heart of the Horns of the South map, which lies in a northeastern direction from your current spot. That’s where you will encounter Rusty Ardghal who is patiently awaiting your arrival.
How To Find & Kill Rusty Ardghal
The quickest route to reach Rusty Ardghal is by using the fast-travel option at the King’s Road if you have already unlocked it.
1. Option 1: If you haven’t found it already, make your way to the Ruined Broch and proceed westward, or begin at the Abandoned Village where you encountered Bald Cait and move towards the south direction.
2. Option 2: In case you haven’t been there yet, travel to the Ruins of the Broch and walk west, or set off from the Abandoned Village (where you battled Bald Cait) and head southward.
Both options maintain the original meaning while using natural and easy-to-read language.
No matter which route you decide to take, you’ll eventually have to make your way to the dilapidated bridge to locate Rusty. Keep in mind that if you approach from beneath through the Ruined Broch, you’ll need to climb a hill.
After reaching the bridge, subdue the guard stationed at the gate first, and afterwards, open up the fast travel point for the King’s Road by doing so. Continue your journey ahead.
On the bridge, you’ll encounter Rusty Ardghal along with a band of highwaymen and archers who are poised for an immediate assault once you draw near.
Overcome the few guards blocking your path, and ultimately, you’ll reach the conclusion of the bridge, where Rusty will challenge you for a battle.
By dealing with the small group of guards obstructing your progress, you’ll eventually arrive at the end of the bridge, where Rusty awaits to engage in combat with you.

As a fan, I’d advise you to gear up with potent spells or melee tools, and brace yourself for the encounter with Rusty’s imposing Bone Club. Given the confined space, it would be wise to either dodge skillfully or maintain a safe distance. Good luck!
If you’ve previously faced off against Senan the Giant, remember to adopt a similar strategy in this upcoming battle. Be mindful of Rusty’s extended reach and maintain distance to prevent him from knocking you down with his attacks.
To avoid being knocked off the bridge by Rusty’s powerful melee attacks, it would be wiser for you to keep a safe distance from the edge if you tend to favor close-combat weapons.
Keep moving and chipping away at Rusty’s health after his slow, telegraphed attacks.
