Embark Studios, creators of the game The Finals, has announced that their latest title, ARC Raiders, a third-person extraction shooter, will officially launch on a specific date. (The exact date has been revealed.)
Back at The Game Awards in 2021, they unveiled ARC Raiders – a thrilling cooperative shooter that I was eagerly waiting for. Initially slated for release in 2022, this free-to-play adventure would have me teaming up with friends to conquer challenges together.
In line with numerous video game projects, it was revealed in 2022 that additional development time was required for this project. As a result, the developers opted to push back the release date to 2023.
Over time, various facets of ARC Raiders underwent changes as well. The creators announced that the game’s category was shifting from a co-op shooter to a Player vs Player vs Environment (PvPvE) extraction shooter.
Additionally, the free-to-play structure has been abandoned, meaning that ARC Raiders will be sold at a regular price upon its release.
When Is ARC Raiders Coming Out?
Lately, it seems like we might get some news about when ARC Raiders is set to launch fairly soon, based on a few clues.
It turns out that, despite ARC Raiders not being available for pre-order yet, it’s possible to download the game’s data on Xbox through the Xbox app.
Following those recent announcements, it’s now confirmed that the game ARC Raiders will be launching on October 30. It will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

ARC Raiders has the potential to demonstrate that extraction shooter games aren’t just repetitive copies of Escape From Tarkov. All that remains is for Embark Studios to release it and ensure that their long-term strategy for the game aligns with what players desire.
Hopefully, this will turn out to be a decent game once it comes out.
