The “Hide and Seek” adventure commences when you arrive at Summer Village and complete a few initial missions. This location is accessible during the second chapter of the main story, which can be unlocked after defeating the level 15 boss, the Cursed Tree in Spring Village, constructing the Dragon’s Home, and allowing Woolby to transform into the White Dragon to transport you there.
How to Find the Mystery Girl in Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma
After I dart over to Matsuri’s Shrine to give the guardian sword a peek, I discover the entrance barred shut. Just as I’m pondering my next move, a mysterious little girl materializes out of nowhere. She casually mentions that if I’m serious about gaining access, I must track her down in three distinct locations by playing a game of Hide and Seek with her.

| 1. Boat | The first place she hides is on the boat near the dock. Just follow the orange location marker, jump onto the boat, and press F to spot her. |
| 2. Flower Bud | Look for a giant flower sitting in the middle of the lake — it’s marked on your map. Unlike the first round, you’ll need to perform the Drum Dance to make the flower bloom and retrieve her. Just right-click with your mouse, and she’ll appear before you. |
| 3. Wooden Box | This is easily the most challenging place to find her. The Mystery Girl doesn’t appear in any of the interactable areas here, and using Drum Dance on the usually marked locations will only waste your Rune Points. To find her for the third time in Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma, head to the back of the Summer Lord’s Dragon Shrine in Summer Village and check the large wooden box. Since it isn’t tied to any interactive prompt, you’ll need to use Drum Dance nearby to break it open and uncover her. |
Once found hiding in each of the three spots, she’ll give you the key to the Shrine, concluding our Hide and Seek mission. Remember to gather sufficient Rune Energy during the quest for when the Drum Dance is required. If your Rune Energy is dwindling, you can replenish it by interacting with Rune Lamps, preparing meals, or taking some time to rest.
