Dotemu, known for their classic beat-em-ups like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge and the upcoming Ninja Gaiden: Rebound, initially unveiled this Marvel sidescroller back in March. In Marvel Cosmic Invasion, Earth is under threat from Annihilus and his alien forces. To protect our planet, some of Marvel’s most powerful heroes are taking action!

15 characters will be playable in the game “Marvel Cosmic Invasion”. Seven of these have been unveiled in the game’s launch trailer, including Captain America, Spider-Man, Venom, Wolverine, Storm, Nova, and Phyla-Vell. Many players are familiar with most of these heroes from Marvel comics, games, or movies. However, there are still a few spots left to fill in the roster. As expected, Rocket compensates for his diminutive stature with advanced weaponry, such as a powerful super move that blankets the screen in laser shots. On the other hand, She-Hulk employs her gamma-enhanced superhuman strength to pummel foes with punches, kicks, and body slams, ultimately unleashing a double-fisted shockwave attack that The Hulk himself would be impressed by.

In the freshly unveiled trailer for Marvel Cosmic Invasion, viewers catch a glimpse of diverse settings such as robot factories, jungles, and a lunar city among other level environments. Antagonists in this game include renowned adversaries like the Sentinel robots, Brood, and it appears that players might engage in boss fights against Thanos and the dinosaur mutant antagonist, Sauron. As of now, Marvel Cosmic Invasion does not have a confirmed launch date, leaving room for Dotemu to announce more superheroes joining the battle to defend the universe from Annihilus’ forces.
