Welcome Tour: Super Mario Bros. 4K (1-1) – 1-Up Mushroom Location

It seems like many people are of the opinion that the Nintendo Switch Welcome Tour should have been included as a free game with the latest Nintendo console. However, it’s quite surprising that despite being a bonus game, it offers some depth, particularly for dedicated Nintendo fans who enjoy trivia about the system’s speakers or trying out a tech demo that requires you to simulate shaking maracas.

Among the many exciting mini-games available for testing the advanced capabilities of the Switch 2, you’ll find a replica of the initial stage from the original Super Mario Bros., as it was on NES. In the 4K tech demo, there are several tasks to accomplish, and here’s a guide to completing them all and earning the gold medal in Welcome Tour.

I hope this version is more natural and easy to read for you! Let me know if you need further assistance.

Welcome Tour: Super Mario Bros. 4K (1-1) Guide

All Objectives

As a passionate gamer, I can tell you that my first encounter with the Super Mario Bros. 4K tech demo will be in Area B: Nintendo Switch 2 Console Area. At first glance, it may appear to be a delightful remake of the initial level, but for those who haven’t previously dabbled in the world of Super Mario Bros., achieving a perfect score might prove challenging.

The five objectives are as follows:

  • Complete the Course
  • Enter a Pipe and complete the course
  • Complete the Course as Fire Mario
  • Fully explore the course and complete it
  • Get a 1-Up Mushroom

Uncovering the 1-Up is the trickiest aspect of this task, since it’s concealed within a secret box somewhere within the game stage. Don’t worry, we’ll guide you to its location!

Where’s the 1-Up and Fire Flower in Mario (1-1)?

Once you’ve gone past the fourth pipe, which leads you below ground, you’ll soon discover an invisible block that holds a 1-Up. To collect it, position yourself right in the center between the two bushes to the right of the pipe, then leap up.

To obtain the Fire Flower, jump over the gap and touch the subsequent question block. However, if you didn’t initially collect a regular mushroom at the beginning of this level, the Fire Flower won’t be yours. So, remember to pick up the mushroom before passing through the first pipe, then gather the Fire Flower, and finally navigate the rest of the course carefully, avoiding collisions with Goombas or Koopas.
