For approximately two years, there have been whispers about it, but journalist Jeff Grubb suggests that a remake of The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion might soon be available for release.
On a recent Giant Bomb livestream, Grubb asserted that the Virtuos-developed remake might be released imminently, possibly as soon as this month, according to his statement. This timing coincides with speculations by well-known leaker NateTheHate.
The rumor is that a remake of The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion has been crafted using Unreal Engine 5. Not only will it undergo aesthetic and technical upgrades, but it’s also said to incorporate numerous gameplay adjustments and enhancements. It appears the revamped game will focus on stealth mechanics, user interface, stamina system, archery, certain melee combat elements, and additional aspects for a more immersive experience. Dive deeper into these details here.
It’s uncertain which platforms the remake will debut on at this point, but given Microsoft’s growing emphasis on multiplatform releases, it’s possible that it could come out simultaneously across all supported platforms. Keep an eye out for further announcements.
