The Initial Heir offers multiple methods to bolster the power of its successors and weapons. In Season 2, Episode 2, a fresh system called Arche Tuning is introduced, primarily designed to enhance individual heirs. This system operates in conjunction with other factors that influence the heir’s might, such as the Inversion Reinforcement.
In this manual, we’ll walk you through all the essential details concerning Arch Tuning in “The First Descendant“, such as techniques for activating it and strategies for its advancement.
How to Unlock Arche Tuning in The First Descendant
To activate the Arche Tuning, you need to finish the “Into the Storm” primary mission which leads you to the Sigma Sector for the very first time. Upon completing this mission, you’ll encounter the Arche Tuning system along with a guiding quest that walks you through its essentials.
If you haven’t started a specific quest yet, continue advancing the primary story. Finishing the Fortress area will grant access to the latest seasonal content, which includes Arche Tuning.
If there’s no special mission for now, just keep moving forward with the main plot. Once you conquer the Fortress, you’ll unlock new content that comes with the current season, such as Arche Tuning.
Once you finish the tutorial mission, you have two options to reach the Arche Tuning interface: through the inventory menu or by utilizing the Prime Hands in Albion. The Arche Tuning serves as a map of nodes that, when activated, provide lasting bonuses to your Descendant. By increasing your Arche Factor level, you earn Arche Tuning points which can be used to unlock additional nodes. You can choose nodes only if they are adjacent to ones that are already active, forming a route towards the powerful bonuses located at the board’s edges.
How to Level Up Arche Tuning in The First Descendant
To boost your Arche Factor and accumulate points, you should obtain experience for Arche Factor (AF). Each Descendant has their own unique Arche Factor level and Arche Tuning progress, which means that you need to gather AF experience on every character you wish to enhance. The sole exceptions are the Ultimate Descendants, who share their Arche Tuning progress with their base versions. As a result, improving Freyna’s Arche Factor level will also boost Ultimate Freyna’s level.
In The First Descendant, you can accumulate Arche Factor EXP from various endgame activities. This includes both progressing through new content as a Fellow and revisiting existing content.
Here’s every source of Arche Factor EXP in The First Descendant:
- Normal difficulty Sigma Sector
- High-risk difficulty Sigma Sector
- Hard difficulty Void Vessel
- Void Erosion
- 400% difficulty Infiltration Operations
The optimal location for farming Arche Factor EXP is the Sigma Sector, where you’ll not only gather EXP but also receive bonus EXP upon completing each zone on the challenging difficulty level for the first time daily. Additionally, you can acquire a special booster for enhanced Arche Factor EXP gain by trading High-Value Relics, which are obtained from Sigma Sectors, with Reina in Albion. Missions within the Sigma Sector may also yield materials needed for crafting items such as the Serena, Truly Deadly Arson shotgun, Ancient Knight assault rifle, and A-TAMS sniper.
