Krafton, the creators of PUBG: Battlegrounds, have rolled out Update 35.1 for PC gamers, with console users getting it on April 17th. This latest update for PUBG: Battlegrounds brings a plethora of new content, along with gameplay adjustments and enhancements aimed at enhancing the gaming experience for all players.
Despite stiffer competition now compared to its 2017 debut, PUBG: Battlegrounds continues to dominate battle royale games. Krafton ensures its longevity through regular updates and improvements. Recently, the company unveiled a 2025 content strategy for PUBG: Battlegrounds, concentrating on three major areas: creating engaging content, enhancing the live-service aspects, and guaranteeing the game’s survival long into the future.
In an exciting development, the latest update for PUBG: Battlegrounds, version 35.1, has been released! This new release introduces a revamped aim punch system that affects gunplay mechanics. When players are hit, their aim stability will be altered differently depending on the weapon they’re using – Sniper Rifles and Shotguns will experience the most significant impact, while Assault Rifles and Designated Marksman Rifles (DMRs) will feel a lighter version. Additionally, the aim punch effects are reduced at greater distances, making aiming less challenging at long ranges. As for gameplay enhancements, items like the Zipline Gun, Stun Gun, Emergency Cover Flare, and Self-AED can now be found on all maps. These items have also been tweaked to ensure consistency across different game modes, particularly Ranked, where a broader range of gear is now accessible than before.
PUBG: Battlegrounds Update 35.1 Expands Recall System
In this latest update, version 35.1, the Recall system has been expanded across all PUBG: Battlegrounds maps, including Karakin and Paramo. This means players can now respawn via recall flights every 2 minutes and 30 seconds until Phase 5 starts. Additionally, the Contender system, a new character enhancement option in the Workshop, has been introduced. Each contender comes with a unique outfit and appearance, with additional features unlockable through upgrades. The audio of firearms, vehicles, and planes has also been adjusted to minimize ear strain. Lastly, Erangel has some new additions such as the Hall of Fame commemorating the winners of the 2024 PUBG Global Championship, which is named The Expendables.
In Season 35 of the Ranked play, players can earn permanent rewards such as Lynx AMR weapon skins and tier-based PUBG ID emblems tied to their final rank from the previous season. The leaderboard resets, but players can still claim their Season 34 rewards based on their past performance. Update 35.1 introduces several enhancements to Custom Matches, including enabling text chat in lobbies and allowing map changes even after a lobby has been created. Furthermore, the game’s Sanhok map experiences improved performance with reduced frame rate drops and smoother gameplay.
