This unique addition promises a fresh and immersive experience for both newcomers dipping their toes into the series for the first time and veterans who have been around the block a few times. If you’re curious to know what sets The Island apart from other game modes, this guide will delve into the essence of The Island in WWE 2K25 and offer tips on how players like us can make the most of it!

What is The Island in WWE 2K25?

The latest game mode for WWE 2K25, titled “The Island,” celebrates the primary characters of the game – the Bloodline and the Samoan Dynasty. Essentially, The Island serves as a shared WWE gaming environment where multiple players can traverse various locations scattered across the map together. In this mode, you’ll have the opportunity to craft your own wrestler and engage in single-player missions, overcome challenges, and attend live events while competing against others to climb the ranks in multiplayer gameplay.

This game mode is only available for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S users.

On the Island, players are provided with a variety of encounters, one of which resembles a professional career path. In this mode, they can advance a narrative, accumulate VC, and utilize their earnings to purchase additional perks such as cosmetic items. The map is divided into various sectors, each designed around the game’s impressive lineup of contemporary and legendary superstars. The districts are organized as follows:

1. [Superstar Sector]: Inspired by the game’s roster of current stars, this district offers a dynamic and exciting environment for players to showcase their skills.
2. [Legendary Land]: A tribute to the game’s past superstars, this district provides a challenging yet rewarding experience for those seeking to hone their abilities.
3. [Rising Talent Region]: Designed for newcomers and aspiring players, this district offers a more relaxed and accessible experience as they learn the ropes and work towards building their own career.
4. [All-Star Arena]: A showcase of the game’s most iconic moments and matches, this district provides players with a unique opportunity to relive some of the sport’s greatest memories.

  • Hero HQ.
  • The Arcade of Tomorrow.
  • The Temple of Ancestors.
  • The Deadlands.

Each district has unique shops of its own, along with distinctly themed arenas where you can engage in online battles against your friends or fellow wrestling enthusiasts.

How To Play Online on The Island in WWE 2K25

Up above, I’d like to point out that The Island features various themed neighborhoods, each equipped with their own battlefields. In these battlefields, you can showcase your abilities against fellow players online and climb the leaderboard to reap a wealth of prizes. To initiate a contest online, just walk up to one of the battlefields and click ‘confirm’ to start searching for an adversary. When paired with someone, you’ll then engage in the predetermined fight.

Instead of using the default option, you can also issue or receive a challenge from another player directly through the online match-up menu. You’ll find this by pushing the Down button on your D-Pad. This will open the “Who’s Online” menu where you can browse between friends and nearby players. To initiate a challenge, pick your chosen opponent and opt for “Invite to a Match”. To accept a challenge, move to the Match Invites using R1/RB button and confirm there.
