A Pokemon fan has recently designed regional evolutions for the final forms of the three starters in the upcoming Pokemon Legends: Z-A: Meganium, Emboar, and Feraligatr. With the release of Pokemon Legends: Z-A drawing closer, more and more fans are coming up with amazing fan art depicting alternative forms of the creatures that will star in the eagerly awaited game.
In February, Chikorita, Tepig, and Totodile were revealed as the three starters of Pokemon Legends: Z-A. While the Grass-type Chikorita and the Water-type Totodile were first introduced in Gen 2 with Pokemon Gold and Silver, the Fire-type Tepig was only added to the franchise in Gen 5 with Pokemon Black and White. Together, the trio continues the tradition of Pokemon games having Grass, Water, and Fire-type critters with two evolutions each as starters.
Now, Pokemon fan DeftGreymon has shared Kalosian regional variants for Meganium, Emboar, and Feraligatr. In its new variant, Meganium becomes a Grass/Dragon-type monster that still maintains its overall shape, but has a giant rose around its neck and spiked horns and tail. The Fire/Steel-type variant of Emboar was named “the Imprisioned Pokemon,” and essentially features the critter with a few metal chains around its body. Finally, the Water/Poison-type Feraligatr becomes a purple reptilian creature with a poisonous green tongue and multiple white spots over its skin. The post was fairly popular with the community, obtaining over 1,700 upvotes.
Fan Art Imagines Regional Variants of Pokemon Legends: Z-A Starters
Fan art featuring the Pokemon Legends: Z-A starters has been quite popular in the last few weeks due to the new announcements related to the game. For example, another fan artist recently made Mega Evolutions for the Pokemon Legends: Z-A starters, offering mightier versions of these monsters that looked great.
In another recent artwork, a third artist created Mega Evolutions that drastically reimagined the Pokemon Legends Z-A starters. In this artwork, Feraligatr was drawn as a sort of velociraptor, while Meganium was re-imagined as an alpaca. Emboar was redesigned to look like a big melting pot.
While some fans have been focusing on the starters, others have decided to re-imagine other Pokemon that may be featured in the upcoming game. One of these fan artists created Mega evolutions for four Pokemon: Noivern, Roserade, Dragalge, and Dedenne, coming up with a unique take on these monsters. Hopefully, the upcoming release of Pokemon Legends: Z-A will inspire even more fans to draw amazing artworks and share them with the community.
