Early in the previous year, Moth Atlas unveiled a fresh addition to the Soulslike genre, introducing the upcoming game Tombwater, a Soulslike title set in the Wild West, available on Steam. In Tombwater, players assume the role of a solitary gunslinger searching for a missing friend, engaging in combat with various monsters and otherworldly terrors throughout their journey. The game offers several unique twists from typical Soulslike games, combining aspects of “Metroidvania” games and adopting a retro-styled top-down viewpoint. Now, Moth Atlas is offering fans the opportunity to explore Tombwater‘s warped world firsthand.

Moth Atlas and publisher Midwest Games have made the initial playable sample of the game “Tombwater” available for public testing. This allows players to check out the game’s fighting mechanics, magical aspects, and formidable bosses. In this demo, players can explore the prologue and early scenes of “Tombwater”, having access to four melee weapons and five ranged options. The magic system will play a significant role in the demo, hinting at five spells that players can utilize, with potential repercussions for excessive use of “Tombwater’s” magical powers. Players will also have the opportunity to confront one of “Tombwater’s” early bosses, Kansas Stilton, in an intense battle.
