This article contains spoilers from Jujutsu Kaisen’s Final Arc.
Summary
- Sukuna emerged as the final villain, posing the most significant threat in Jujutsu Kaisen.
- Sukuna proved his strength by killing Gojo Satoru, the strongest sorcerer, in the last arc.
- Kashimo, the Lightning God, emerged as the second biggest threat to Sukuna in the Shinjuku Showdown.
The popular anime series “Jujutsu Kaisen” concluded a few months back, yet its fanbase remains eager for additional insights from the author about various storylines, particularly the Final arc. Although some fans found the ending of “JJK” fulfilling, others have been quick to highlight unresolved plot points that require attention. It’s also worth noting that the author Gege’s health situation has necessitated a more expedited resolution of certain elements than he may have preferred.
It’s great that Gege is consistently available to share additional insights about the manga, as was the case at the recent JJK exhibition where the author disclosed a wealth of intriguing details for the story’s readers. In this latest unveiling, Gege discussed the most perilous sorcerers in the final installment of JJK, and some of his choices are undeniably shocking.
Ryomen Sukuna — The Final Villain Of Jujutsu Kaisen
- Sukuna Was The Biggest Villain in the Series
- Sukuna Ended Up Killing Gojo
It’s clear as day that Ryomen Sukuna, the King of Curses, posed the greatest peril in the final arc of JJK. From the get-go, it was evident to fans that Sukuna was one of the most formidable adversaries in the narrative. In essence, Gege didn’t have to explicitly state that Sukuna was among the three most powerful sorcerers; his portrayal and the unmatched power of the King of Curses spoke for itself, making it plain to fans just how dangerous he was.
I’m feeling great right now. Don’t go ahead and ruin that feeling. — Sukuna to Kashimo
In the final arc of Jujutsu Kaisen, Sukuna engaged in a fierce battle with the most powerful contemporary sorcerer, Gojo Satoru. Despite Gojo’s immense strength, he underestimated the King of Curses, which proved to be a fatal mistake. This oversight led to his defeat, allowing Sukuna to survive the encounter. Such complacency against a formidable foe can be detrimental and should always be avoided.
Gojo Was The Biggest Threat To Sukuna
Gojo Satoru Could’ve Beaten Sukuna
In the Shinjuku Showdown arc, I couldn’t help but notice that Gojo Satoru posed a significant threat to Sukuna. In battle, Gojo was formidable, even against the mighty Sukuna. In fact, if not for his momentary lapse in vigilance, he could have easily defeated Sukuna. The author himself confessed that Gojo’s loss was primarily due to this temporary lowering of guard. Among all sorcerers, Sukuna considered Gojo one of the two he might potentially lose to – a testament to his prowess.
Haven’t we had enough of Gojo Satoru already? — Gojo
Hajime Kashimo Was The Second Biggest Threat
As per the latest disclosure by Gege Akutami, it was only Hajime Kashimo, the Lightning God, who instilled such concern in Sukuna that he believed he might succumb to him. In the instance where Gojo, the supreme sorcerer, perished, Kashimo entered combat against Sukuna. With his Mythical Beast Amber, he overpowered the King of Curses, compelling him to unveil his true form. Had Sukuna not revealed his true form, he would’ve undeniably lost the battle against Kashimo on that very day. (First-person perspective: I’ve learned from Gege Akutami’s recent reveal that only Hajime Kashimo, the Lightning God, was able to instill such worry in Sukuna that he thought defeat was imminent. In the moment when Gojo perished, it was Kashimo who engaged Sukuna. With his Mythical Beast Amber, Kashimo overpowered Sukuna, compelling him to manifest his true form. If Sukuna had not shown his true form, he would have lost that battle against Kashimo on the spot.)
From my perspective, it was clear that only two entities posed a threat to me, thus, I believe author Gege was hinting that at that pivotal moment in the narrative, Gojo, Sukuna, and Kashimo stood as the top three powerhouses on the battlefield.
At long last, the final chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen, numbered 271, dropped on September 29, 2024. Readers can now immerse themselves in the series through the Manga Plus and Shonen Jump mobile applications.
