In essence, Gege didn’t have to explicitly state that Sukuna was among the three most powerful sorcerers; his portrayal and the unmatched power of the King of Curses spoke for itself, making it plain to fans just how dangerous he was.

In the final arc of Jujutsu Kaisen, Sukuna engaged in a fierce battle with the most powerful contemporary sorcerer, Gojo Satoru. Such complacency against a formidable foe can be detrimental and should always be avoided.

In fact, if not for his momentary lapse in vigilance, he could have easily defeated Sukuna. The author himself confessed that Gojo’s loss was primarily due to this temporary lowering of guard. Among all sorcerers, Sukuna considered Gojo one of the two he might potentially lose to – a testament to his prowess.

Hajime Kashimo Was The Second Biggest Threat

As per the latest disclosure by Gege Akutami, it was only Hajime Kashimo, the Lightning God, who instilled such concern in Sukuna that he believed he might succumb to him. In the instance where Gojo, the supreme sorcerer, perished, Kashimo entered combat against Sukuna. With his Mythical Beast Amber, he overpowered the King of Curses, compelling him to unveil his true form. Had Sukuna not revealed his true form, he would’ve undeniably lost the battle against Kashimo on that very day. From my perspective, it was clear that only two entities posed a threat to me, thus, I believe author Gege was hinting that at that pivotal moment in the narrative, Gojo, Sukuna, and Kashimo stood as the top three powerhouses on the battlefield.
