I’ve never been a fan of Trubbish, but a cute detail in the new game, Pokemon Legends: Z-A, is changing my mind. Pokemon Legends: Z-A takes players back to Lumiose City in the Kalos region, and it’s the latest installment in the popular Pokemon series. The city is full of wild Pokemon from many different generations.
The Pokemon Trubbish and Garbodor are both appearing in the new game, Pokemon Legends: Z-A. These Poison-type Pokemon are often considered some of the least appealing designs in the entire series, which explains why they aren’t very popular. While Trubbish might have a certain charm, it’s essentially a garbage bag with eyes.
I’ve never been a fan of the PokĆ©mon Trubbish since it first appeared in PokĆ©mon Black and White, and I didn’t think PokĆ©mon Legends: Z-A would change my mind. However, if you’re trying to complete the PokĆ©dex in PokĆ©mon Legends: Z-A, you’ll have to catch one, and you might notice something surprisingly sweetāand sad. Unlike most PokĆ©mon, which try to escape capture, Trubbish actually wants to be caught. When you throw a PokĆ© Ball at it, it runs over and happily dances around, as if thrilled someone wants to add it to their team. I don’t know if this was intentional by the developers, but it’s a little heartbreaking to think Trubbish has been overlooked for so long that it’s excited to finally be chosen. It’s made me feel sorry for the little guy, and even though its design is based on trash, I can now see it’s kind of cute.
How to Catch Trubbish in Pokemon Legends: Z-A
Finding Trubbish in Pokemon Legends: Z-A is pretty easy ā just look around the alleyways and near trash cans in Lumiose City. While they arenāt hard to catch, youāll often encounter several at the same time. Once youāve caught a Trubbish, you can evolve it into Garbodor at level 36, though many players consider Garbodor to be even less appealing than Trubbish.
In Pokemon Legends: Z-A, different Pokemon will react in their own ways when you approach them, and it will be fun to see how returning favorites behave in the new DLC. While the specific Pokemon coming back havenāt been officially announced yet, the Mega Dimension DLC is expected to bring back many familiar creatures for players to collect.
