The first story-based downloadable content for Borderlands 4, titled Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned, has added a new playable character: C4SH, the Rogue. C4SH is the first robot Vault Hunter in Borderlands 4, and their abilities focus on using and controlling luck to benefit players. After players have explored C4SH’s skills and the new gear available in the DLC, a very strong build has been discovered that can deal unlimited damage with the right setup.
The latest DLC for Borderlands 4 has sparked debate among fans, mainly due to its cost compared to the amount of content offered. However, most players agree that the new Vault Hunter, C4SH, is a highlight. He has three unique abilities: Cross-Fire lets him use his dual revolvers, Sleight of Hand triggers random effects with cards, and Cleromancy involves rolling Bone Dice to summon a Bone Totem. It’s this last ability, combined with C4SH’s Windfall trait, that allows players to potentially deal unlimited damage in Borderlands 4.
C4SH Has an Infinite Damage Build in Borderlands 4
Borderlands 4 has seen infinite damage builds before. When the game first launched, players discovered a way to deal unlimited damage with the character Vex by stacking bleed effects using her Bloodletter skill and a specific throwing knife. This method was eventually fixed with a game update. Now, with the release of the first story pack, a similar infinite bleed build is possible, this time using a combination of C4SH’s abilities and a new Class Mod.
A player named Ancient_Rune on Reddit first discovered a powerful, self-damaging build for C4SH in Borderlands 4 and shared a video showing how it works. The build allows C4SH to continuously damage enemies with minimal effort, quickly dealing millions of points of damage. Players familiar with Vex’s incredibly effective bleed build from a previous period will find this new build very similar, highlighting how strong bleed effects can be in Borderlands 4.
Players of the upcoming Borderlands 4 should try out a feature called C4SH now, as it’s currently unknown whether its unique effects are meant to be part of the game or if they’ll be adjusted in the future.
How to Achieve C4SH’s Infinite Damage Build
- Gamer Class Mod
- Cleromancy Action Skill
- The Wilds Passive
C4SH’s powerful ‘infinite bleed’ strategy relies on causing enemies to bleed whenever they’re hit with a critical hit. This is achieved using C4SH’s Gamer Class Mod, which adds a bleed effect to all critical hits. When a bleeding enemy is killed with a critical hit, it creates a Chaos Totem. These totems provide extra damage, can also critically hit, and apply more bleed – creating a cycle where more totems generate more bleed. The goal is to constantly trigger bleed effects to create more totems, which then inflict even more bleed, repeating the process endlessly.
To maximize C4SH’s damage output, focus on his Cleromancy Action Skill. This lets him maintain more Totems, boosting the chance to trigger bleed effects. The green skill tree is crucial for this build, especially the Passive skill ‘The Wilds,’ which allows Totems to inherit damage from C4SH and apply their own bleed. This creates a build that rapidly stacks bleed damage from multiple sources, dealing consistent and increasing damage, allowing players to largely observe enemies being defeated.
