This article contains spoilers from the Naruto series.
The *Naruto* series was incredibly popular in the 2000s and 2010s, especially outside of Japan, and helped introduce anime to a much wider audience. It’s safe to say *Naruto* is among the most important and impactful anime ever created. Beyond its influence on the anime industry, the series was beloved by fans for its memorable characters, uplifting themes, and its powerful message about overcoming personal challenges.
The anime *Naruto* was a fantastic series that fans loved, but like all good shows, it eventually finished. Since then, it’s been difficult to find another anime to take its place. *Jujutsu Kaisen* was popular for a while, but it has also ended. Now, a new manga called *Kagurabachi* by Hokazono is generating a lot of excitement, and many believe it could be the next big hit. Fans are eagerly anticipating the anime adaptation, hoping it will be the *Naruto* successor they’ve been waiting for, and finally give the main character, Chihiro, the spotlight he deserves.

Kagurabachi Is The Most Popular New Gen Manga

- Kagurabachi is better than Boruto
- The sales are far higher
2026 promises to be a fantastic year for anime, largely because it’s expected to mark the beginning of a new generation of popular action anime, often called ‘Shonen.’ Many fans believe we’ll finally see an anime version of ‘Kagurabachi’ released that year.
Every morning, I wake up with fresh hatred in my body. — Chihiro
Cygames Pictures is reportedly producing the anime, and a recently registered website suggests its adaptation is highly likely. Kagurabachi, a heartfelt but action-packed story centered around revenge, is expected to be a groundbreaking addition to the Shonen anime genre.
A lot of fans think Boruto could fill Naruto’s shoes, but it’s not a fair comparison. While Boruto is good, it doesn’t quite measure up to Naruto, particularly as an anime. Many are now hoping that Kagurabachi will be the next big, successful series like Naruto was.

I don’t quit and I don’t run. That’s my way of ninja. — Naruto Uzumaki

Fans are encouraged to watch Jump Festa 2026 in December, as that’s where the anime could be officially revealed, kicking off the anticipation for its 2026 debut.
