It’s been suggested in a recent report that a digital version of the PlayStation 5 might hit the shelves this month, albeit with a smaller memory capacity compared to its counterparts.
The document indicates that the price of the CFI-2100 console update will remain at its standard 499 euros. PlayStation 5 Console Revisions

However, in November 2023, a major update to the console occurred, introducing a new version named ‘PlayStation 5 Slim’ by its enthusiastic community.
The latest console model features a removable disc player, enabling customers to initially purchase a “digital-only” variant. At a later point, this can be upgraded with a disc drive.
