As a huge One Piece fan, it’s honestly a little disappointing how few new crew members Luffy’s picked up in the New World! It’s been almost 15 years in the story now, and Jinbe is the only one who’s officially joined the Straw Hats during that time – and we didn’t even see that happen until the Wano Arc. I’m really hoping we get some fresh faces soon!

Things are really coming together for Luffy and his crew. It looks like he’s about to find the final member of the Straw Hats, and right now, all signs point to Loki. If he joins, Loki would be a huge asset, bringing an amazing level of skill with Conqueror’s Haki to the crew.

Loki, a popular character in One Piece currently featured in the Elbaf arc, is generating a lot of excitement among fans who hope he’ll become a member of Luffy’s crew. Luffy rarely asks people to join his crew, but when he does, they almost always end up becoming Straw Hats.

Before the story shifted to memories of Elbaf, it was obvious that Luffy hoped Loki would join his crew. Loki turned down the offer at the time, but he didn’t know Luffy was actually the Sun God Nika. Once Loki learns the truth, he might change his mind and decide to sail with Luffy. Adding to this, Loki is disliked by most people in his country, and even his brother, despite learning the truth, hasn’t forgiven him for his past actions, leaving their relationship strained.

Loki is also driven by a desire to avenge his father, and that motivation won’t disappear. It’s now highly likely he’ll join the Straw Hats, so fans should expect that to happen.

Loki Is A Master Of Conqueror’s Haki

He can use this advanced Haki to defend against extremely powerful enemies like the Holy Knights and even Imu. We first saw Loki’s Haki in action during his fight with Ragnir, and again fourteen years ago against King Harald. Since then, his abilities have grown significantly, making him one of the strongest Haki users in the world of One Piece today.

Adding him to the crew would be a huge advantage for the Straw Hats, especially in the final war. Luffy will likely need strong Conqueror’s Haki users to win, as the Holy Knights and Imu’s forces, including the Five Elders, are vulnerable only to that type of Haki. Currently, Luffy and Zoro are the only two Straw Hats who can use Conqueror’s Haki, and they haven’t fully mastered it yet.

Sanji hasn’t unlocked this ability yet, but it seems likely he will in the future. If Loki joins the crew, they could potentially have four members with Conqueror’s Haki, which will be crucial when facing threats like the Holy Knights and Imu’s other powerful enemies.

Only Loki Could Kill A Holy Knight

During his fight with King Harald – described as an unstoppable, world-destroying force – Loki didn’t just hold his own, he defeated and killed the King. This victory was thanks to a combination of his Devil Fruit powers and his mastery of Haki.

Loki is unique because he’s the only one confirmed to have defeated a Holy Knight. Interestingly, when he did, Imu seemed to feel the impact of the attack. This makes Loki a potentially crucial ally in future One Piece battles, and he’d be a powerful asset to the crew if he joined.

Loki’s Haki Will Grow Even Stronger

It’s important to understand that Conqueror’s Haki isn’t something you can directly train or improve through practice. As Rayleigh explained, it gets stronger as the user themselves grows in power.
