A playable early version of Nintendo’s new farming game, Pokémon Pokopia, has appeared online. Its existence and functionality have been confirmed by the recent ‘Teraleak’.
Pokémon Pokopia, a life-simulation game created by Nintendo and Koei Tecmo, was announced earlier this year. Players take on the role of a human-like Ditto, making friends with Pokémon and building a new life through activities like crafting and farming. It’s already one of the most highly anticipated games of 2026, but a preliminary, playable version, along with details about its development, has recently been leaked.
Pokémon Pokopia Prototype Leaks Online, Features Pixel-Art Style
A complete, unreleased early version of the Pokémon game, Pokopia, has been discovered, including all of its original programming code. Surprisingly, Pokopia initially resembled Stardew Valley more than Minecraft. The gameplay involved assigning Pokémon to gather resources and manage building tasks.

The initial leak came from RyDawgE and was quickly confirmed by Centro Leaks, a source known for previously revealing accurate information about Pokémon’s plans – like details about Generation 10 in the ‘Teraleak’. RyDawgE shared screenshots and video of an early Pokémon Pokopia prototype on Twitter (now X). Centro Leaks then followed up with the video and a link to the prototype’s source code, making it playable through Unity. The leaker also states that the game started as an internal Game Freak project before being handed over to Koei Tecmo for development.
The leaked images of Pokémon Pokopia show a surprisingly different look compared to what’s been officially revealed. Instead of the 3D graphics we’re used to, it features a pixel-art style, much like the game Stardew Valley. Initial reports suggest Pokopia was initially developed for an early version of the Nintendo Switch, as a follow-up to Pokémon: Let’s Go, as indicated in the Teraleak. Many fans online are excited about this retro art style, which reminds them of older Pokémon games. Seeing what the game could have been, it appears the final version, if it maintains this style, has the potential to be fantastic.
