A Pokemon fan artist shares what they believe Scizor would look like as a Fairy-type creature rather than its traditional Bug and Steel types.

A fan of Pokemon showcased their artistic interpretation on social media, imagining what Scizor, the powerful Bug-type Pokemon, might appear like if it were a Fairy-type creature. The fan artist’s rendition of Fairy-type Scizor preserved many of its original features, but introduced unique markings and a change in color scheme to make it visually striking.

In the world of Pokémon, Scizor is famously known as the Pincer Pokémon. It made its debut in the games Pokémon Gold and Silver, evolving from Scyther. Unlike other Pokémon, Scizor couldn’t be caught in the wild but instead needed a trade between trainers, with the traded Scyther holding a Metal Coat to undergo evolution.

Scizor is a unique creature, being a dual-type Pokémon with both Bug and Steel attributes. It boasts impressive attack and defense statistics and has access to moves like X-Scissor and Iron Head. After four generations, Scizor was given a Mega Evolution in Pokémon X and Y, enhancing its combat capabilities even further.

Excitingly, Mega Scizor will once again grace the Pokémon universe with other Mega Pokémon in the upcoming title, Pokemon Legends: Z-A.

Pokemon Fan Artist Imagines Scizor As A Fairy-Type Critter

Instead of portraying Scizor as a demon, as other Pokemon fan artists often do, one artist decided to create a fairy-inspired version of the popular Bug-type Pokemon. On the Pokemon subreddit, renowned fan artist Just-Drawing-Mons unveiled their latest work: a Fairy-type Scizor. The primary color scheme of Scizor’s body was transformed from red to soft pink shades, similar to other Fairy-type Pokemon like Sylveon and Tinkaton. Additionally, the pincers on this fairy-themed Scizor concept were redesigned to resemble giant fins or fans, while also featuring heart-shaped indentations to complement its two-tone color scheme.

Just-Drawing-Mon’s latest design incorporates a blend of vibrant hot pink, soft pastel pink, and crisp white. Scizor’s design includes heart-shaped patterns on its head and torso, while the upper surface of its wings sports reduced armor plating. The eyes of this Scizor remain a bright yellow hue, with an extra spike adorning the back of its skull. Details regarding the Fairy-type Scizor’s unique moves or abilities have yet to be unveiled, but given its renowned high attack and defense stats, it is expected to be one of the most powerful Fairy-types in both Pokemon Scarlet and Violet as well as other games.

Following the unveiling of Just-Drawing-Mons’ latest creation, Pokemon enthusiasts have been discussing the similarities between Fairy Scizor and other creatures such as Lurantis. One trainer even noted that its claws resemble ice cream scoops instead of fans. As Scizor and its Mega form are set to feature in “Pokemon Legends: Z-A”, we eagerly await what innovative fan art will emerge next.
