A peculiar Steam game named “A Tale of Flatulence” is accessible for free until June 2. This is one of those offbeat Steam games that boasts an astonishingly large player base.
Over the years, I’ve been captivated by the ever-expanding library of unique games on Steam, and some of these quirky titles have even drawn massive crowds of gamers. In 2024, for instance, the Banana game became a sensation among Steam players, reaching a staggering peak of over 900,000 concurrent players at its zenith. Interestingly, this wasn’t an isolated case, as another clicker game, Cookie Clicker, had also enjoyed a significant surge in popularity around the time of its launch in late 2013. Currently, another game in the same genre, A Story About Farting, is available for free on Valve’s platform for the first time since its release in April 2024, making it a great opportunity for gamers like me to give it a try!
Starting on May 30th, the free-to-play game “A Story About Farting” from Lizard Games Studio became available. This offer will end on June 2nd. The easy-going game requires players to continuously click on the screen to play. Each click causes one of the characters, such as Fatty or Fat Granny, to pass gas or burp. As you reach a certain number of clicks, you unlock new in-game achievements, with approximately 100 achievable within the game and Steam. In addition to Fatty, players can also choose from other characters like Mustachioed Pig. Despite its simple gameplay, over 300,000 players have joined in due to its popularity on Steam. The developer announced plans for future updates, free DLCs, and possibly another game set within the same universe based on this recent milestone.
A Story About Farting Goes Free on Steam
For individuals seeking a relaxed gaming experience on Steam currently, a humorous title like “A Tale of Flatulence” might be an appropriate choice. Meanwhile, for those desiring a more profound gaming experience, there’s another limited-time free game available – “Tell Me Why” is now free on Steam until July 1.
In addition to the previously mentioned perks, there’s some thrilling updates happening with Steam right now. One of these updates is the Steam Next Fest, which highlights demos for upcoming Steam games and is set to run from June 9th to June 16th.
