In the game “Assassin’s Creed Shadows,” a fresh type of advancement system called “Animus Projects” has been introduced. This system offers rewards like legendary weapons, decorative clothing, and more when players fulfill certain requirements. One method to move forward in this pseudo-season pass is by completing Anomaly Missions, which are also known as: eliminating corrupt entities.
This weekly challenge might require some strategy, as they frequently involve assassination tasks, either multiple objectives or a high-valued mark. In this Assassin’s Creed Shadows guide, players will get a comprehensive walkthrough on uncovering the “Purge Corrupt Entity Missions” and mastering their completion.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows Anomalies Explained
In simpler terms, anomalies refer to occurrences spotted by the Animus system that don’t align with the timeline and are labeled as Suspicious Entities. These unusual events set off specific tasks for players to complete, known as ‘cleansing’. Successfully completing these tasks rewards Data Fragments, which help advance through the Season Pass system.
To start with the season pass (often referred to as ‘Projects‘), titled ‘The Legacy‘, players are expected to complete numerous quests indicated by a purple Animus Icon on the map. They can track these missions from their ‘Objective tabs‘ and notice several active Anomalies they need to clear if they look at the top section of their objective board.
Certain tasks bestow anywhere from 400 to 700 Data Shards and over 1000 XP points, with new assignments becoming available every 24 hours. Once players collect a sufficient number of Data Shards, they can unlock a tier for rewards. To claim these rewards, they should visit the Animus Project section in their interface. The rewards vary, including rare items like Gold and legendary weapons for characters such as Yasuke or Naoe.
How To Complete Purge Missions In AC Shadows
In “Assassin’s Creed Shadow,” Purge Missions are among the simplest tasks within the Animus Project. These missions involve systematically clearing out an infected enemy base, which has already been affected by some sort of anomaly.
When gamers step into the designated zone for the task, they might encounter unusual graphic anomalies, but rest assured, these aren’t glitches. Instead, these effects signify that players have indeed arrived at the right location. Their target, which will be represented by a purple dot, is nearby.
As players get closer to a high-value Target labeled as ‘Fractured Lineage‘ in a specific region, they’ll start noticing a more intense distorted or corrupted visual effect in their surroundings.
Players will find themselves engaged in a different kind of challenge, where they’ll be confined within an Arena, fighting numerous opponents until they can eliminate the Anomaly. Given that this will involve direct combat, it would be wise to ensure your characters, Naoe or Yasuke, are well-prepared with robust builds before taking on these types of missions aimed at purging the entities.
To access some Purge Missions, you’ll need to meet specific conditions first. For instance, finishing “The Tournament” Mission or completing the Golden Teppo Main Quest. If you’re having trouble finding these objectives, make sure you’ve completed any Sub Quests or Main Quests that are required prerequisites for unlocking the Purge Missions.
