As someone who has been a dedicated Call of Duty fan for over a decade, I must admit that the recent announcement by Activision about separating Warzone from the main games is music to my ears! After countless hours spent struggling with download times and storage space issues, this change will not only make it easier for me to manage my game collection but also save me precious time.
In the future, when you download Call of Duty, you won’t need to get Warzone simultaneously. As stated in a recent post by Activision, they plan to split Warzone from the Call of Duty series going forward.
Warzone from other games. So, when you buy an annual title, you’ll only get the files for that specific game automatically.
In other words, when you wish to get Warzone, you’ll need to perform a separate download. Not only will this speed up the process of downloading Call of Duty so you can start playing sooner, but it will also create more space on your storage devices by optimizing it.

They emphasized that adaptability and individual preference are crucial. Their aim is to empower gamers by offering them the freedom to choose and download any Call of Duty title, such as Call of Duty: Warzone, at their own convenience.
The split takes effect from Wednesday, August 21st. Meanwhile, Call of Duty: Black Ops VI is set for launch on October 25th, marking the initial day-one release within the series on Xbox Game Pass.
