Adult Goku Unleashes SSJ4 Transformation in Dragon Ball Daima Episode 19

This article contains spoilers for Dragon Ball Daima Episode 19.

Summary

  • SSJ4 transformation confirmed as canon in Dragon Ball Daima, sparking fan speculation.
  • Goku reaches his limits and unlocks SSJ4 power without magic or tail in Episode 19.
  • Dragon Ball Daima will conclude with Episode 20 airing on February 28, no sequel planned.

In less than a week, we’ll see the finale of “Dragon Ball Daima.” It’s been keeping its most thrilling surprises for the climax of the story. Last week, Goku transformed into Super Saiyan 4, causing quite a buzz on social platforms.

In contrast to some viewers who view Dragon Ball GT as non-canonical and since Super Saiyan 4 (SSJ4) hasn’t appeared in Dragon Ball Super yet, the anime has officially confirmed SSJ4 as a canonical transformation. However, this leaves fans questioning why the SSJ4 form hasn’t been shown in Super so far – unfortunately, this appears to be an unanswered question at present. It’s plausible that the show may opt not to provide an explanation for this.

Goku and the Others Are Adults Once Again

He Unlocked All His Powers While Battling Gomah

In keeping with predictions, the characters reverted to their grown-up shapes in Episode 19. Although they have resumed their regular selves, they haven’t yet unleashed all their abilities, but that didn’t deter Goku from attempting to push his boundaries once more.

In the previous episode, it was implied that Goku might transform into Super Saiyan 4 once more in this one, and indeed, that’s exactly what transpired. During his battle against Goku, we witnessed him reactivating his Super Saiyan 4 ability, but now as a fully grown adult.

In this instance, he managed without additional magic, and it seems his lack of a tail didn’t matter either – something some viewers had hypothesized could be essential for the transformation. If this disproves the theory, it also boosts the likelihood that SSJ4 Gogeta could show up in the forthcoming episode.

Several portions of the latest episode were posted on the verified Dragon Ball Super account, an account that’s been regularly sharing Dragon Ball-related content, not just Super.

When Will Dragon Ball Daima End?

The twenty-first installment, which will serve as the grand finale of the show, is slated to air on February 28th of the coming week. Viewers are eagerly anticipating top-notch animation, similar to what’s been displayed thus far, and a climactic battle finale that promises excitement. Regrettably, at this juncture, it appears there won’t be another season for the series.

Toei has shared a summary video for the series up to Episode 18 as a prelude to its conclusion. This allows both long-time fans and newcomers to refresh their memories about the key storylines before the anime concludes.

Currently, Episode 19 of “Dragon Ball Daimao” has been broadcasted in Japan. It won’t be available on Crunchyroll and Hulu for a couple more hours, but you can watch it later today. The episode will be added to Netflix and other streaming services next week.
