After 7 Years, Gege Akutami Confirms The Sorcerer Who Stole Gojo’s Throne

I’ve been following the new Jujutsu Kaisen series, and it’s been amazing! Every chapter released so far has really delivered. What’s particularly exciting is how much new backstory and information about the world is being revealed, building on what we already knew. Plus, the author, Gege Akutami, is introducing a lot of powerful new sorcerers. Some of these new fighters are still growing into their abilities – especially the younger generation – but others are already incredibly strong.

Yuji Itadori has officially become the most powerful sorcerer in Japan. Even though he’s been working for a while, he’s still in great shape and incredibly strong. He’s taken over this position from his teacher, Gojo, who passed away and left him with the responsibility.

Gege Akutami Confirms Yuji Itadori Is Now The Strongest Sorcerer In Japan

Set 68 years after the original Jujutsu Kaisen story ends, Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo naturally shows a world with significant changes. Many of the sorcerers fans remember are now gone or retired, and the rules around sorcery have evolved. A new species, the Simurians, has also arrived and seeks to live alongside humans. Despite these changes, fans will find a comforting connection to the past through the return of Yuji Itadori, the former main character.

Gege Akutami has officially confirmed that Yuji Itadori is still alive in Jujutsu Kaisen. They also revealed that Yuji is still young and has aged differently than other sorcerers. Most significantly, Akutami stated that Yuji Itadori is now the strongest jujutsu sorcerer in Japan. The organization of sorcerers themselves recognizes this, as they need someone powerful enough to deter the Simurians, who are allied with Dabura. To counter Dabura’s power, they require the absolute strongest, and everyone agrees that’s currently Yuji Itadori. This officially means Yuji Itadori has surpassed Gojo Satoru as the strongest character in the series.

Japan Is Looking For Yuji Itadori

I’ve heard Yuji Itadori is considered the most powerful sorcerer in Japan, but right now, finding him is the big issue. It seems he’s been missing for years. Apparently, he left the sorcerer organization at some point and chose to live on his own, and no one’s seen him since. We don’t know why he left or what he’s up to now, but Japan has already launched a search – they can’t afford to wait.

Yuji Itadori Might’ve Surpassed Gojo And Sukuna

Fans agree that Yuji Itadori is currently the most powerful character in the series, and he has the potential to become even stronger than Gojo and Sukuna. He possesses two unique cursed techniques – Shrine and Blood Manipulation – along with abilities like Reversed Cursed Technique and Domain Amplification, giving him all the tools he needs to grow. Since the Shinjuku Showdown, Yuji has improved dramatically and is now considered as powerful as Gojo. Considering Dabura poses a threat comparable to Sukuna, it’s likely Yuji will reach a similar, or even greater, level of strength to counter it.
