As the story of One Piece enters its final arc, the Straw Hat Pirates are poised to reach their full potential. Luffy has always been the crew’s strongest member, and he’ll remain so until the very end. Right behind him are Zoro and Sanji, officially recognized as the ‘Wings of the Pirate King.’ These two are incredibly powerful fighters, and the author, Oda, has indicated they’ll continue to grow rapidly in this final saga. The current arc, focused on Elbaf, will be essential for both of them as they get closer to reaching their peak strength.
As Zoro gets closer to becoming the world’s strongest swordsman and Sanji proves himself as a powerful protector for the future Pirate King, both are poised to reach the peak of the pirate world during the events at Elbaf. After this arc, the combined strength of Zoro and Sanji—often referred to as the ‘Wings of the Pirate King’—will likely be at the level of a Yonko, or very close to it.
Luffy’s Wings Are Growing Stronger With Each Arc
Zoro and Sanji Will Reach Yonko Level Soon
It’s become clear that Luffy is rapidly gaining power in the ongoing One Piece story. From the start, the Straw Hat Pirates were shown to have immense potential, and even characters like Usopp and Nami, who aren’t typically considered top fighters, have become incredibly strong and can now defeat formidable opponents. Naturally, this means Zoro and Sanji, already among the crew’s strongest, have continued to grow even more powerful.
During the Wano Country arc, Zoro and Sanji faced incredibly strong opponents. Zoro suffered a defeat against Kaido, but he recovered to defeat King, which was a significant accomplishment. Sanji also proved his strength by defeating Queen and becoming even more powerful. By defeating two of Kaido’s top commanders, Zoro and Sanji had already demonstrated they were capable of joining a Yonko crew. However, both of them still have the potential to become even stronger.
During the Egghead arc, Zoro put up a good fight against Lucci, and Sanji managed to damage Kizaru’s laser, which visibly surprised the Admiral. It’s becoming increasingly clear that Luffy’s core crew is getting more powerful with each major story arc, and all signs point to them reaching a new level of strength during the Elbaf arc, as foreshadowed by the author, Oda.
Zoro And Sanji Will Master Conqueror’s Haki In Elbaf
Two New Conqueror’s Haki Users Will Rise
As a huge Zoro fan, I’m so excited for what’s coming in the Elbaf arc! I really believe mastering Conqueror’s Haki is the key to him reaching that Yonko-level power. We saw in Wano that Enma actually awakened his Conqueror’s Haki, and he’s been using it ever since, but he didn’t even know he had it! Now, Scopper Gaban has pointed out that just having Haki isn’t enough – you need to be able to control it consciously. So, I’m expecting Elbaf to be where Zoro really learns to harness his Conqueror’s Haki. If he can do that, he’ll officially jump to the next power level, bridging the gap between a top commander and the absolute powerhouses like the Admirals and the Yonko themselves. It’s going to be a huge challenge for him, but I think Elbaf is where we’ll see him truly ascend!
The upcoming Elbaf arc will be a major turning point for Sanji. Hints suggest he’ll awaken Conqueror’s Haki, a powerful ability shared by characters like Scopper Gaban. This power-up is crucial, as Sanji will likely face formidable opponents such as the Holy Knights and the Five Elders later in the story. His development as a fighter requires him to master Conqueror’s Haki to effectively compete with these powerful enemies.
This is the power to overwhelm, it’s called the Color of the Supreme King! — Rayleigh
The Elbaf arc will be where Sanji first awakens and learns to use Conqueror’s Haki in combat. Mastering this ability will put him on the path to becoming a Yonko-level pirate, surpassing even the strength of a typical Yonko Commander.
The Final War Requires Luffy’s Wings To Be Yonko Level
Luffy, Zoro And Sanji Will Be The New Roger, Rayleigh, And Gaban
Okay, so the final arc of One Piece is seriously ramping up the intensity! It’s clear Luffy needs to reach power levels we’ve never seen before, and that pressure extends to Zoro and Sanji too. They have to stay at the top of their game as the Wings of the Pirate King – there’s no room for them to fall behind! Honestly, I think mastering Conqueror’s Haki is non-negotiable for them now. It’s not just about them having the ability, it’s that they need that level of power if they’re truly going to help Luffy become King of the Pirates. It’s all building to something huge!
Among you, there exists more than one Conqueror’s Haki user! — Gaban to the Straw Hats
-
Considering Zoro and Sanji have role models like Rayleigh and Gaban – both incredibly powerful figures who were at the level of the Yonko in their prime – it’s reasonable to expect they’ll reach that same level of strength after the events at Elbaf. Mastering Conqueror’s Haki is just the first step, given the high standards set by these legendary figures.
The final arc of One Piece is building towards a massive war, and the events at Elbaf were just the beginning. When the war starts, Zoro and Sanji will need to be at their strongest to protect Luffy and help him achieve his goals. This means they absolutely must master Conqueror’s Haki. After leaving Elbaf, the Straw Hat crew needs to set sail as an incredibly powerful force, with Zoro and Sanji becoming fully skilled Conqueror’s Haki users.
