Alan Wake 2 Meets Control in The Lake House Expansion at State of Play

As a long-time fan of Remedy Entertainment and the Alan Wake series, I must say that my heart skipped a beat when I heard about the upcoming expansion for Alan Wake 2, titled “The Lake House.” The combination of the supernatural worlds of Alan Wake with Control is an exciting prospect, to say the least.

Remedy Entertainment, creators behind Alan Wake, are back with another expansion for what seems to be Alan Wake 2 (as hinted at during Sony’s State of Play). But they’re mixing things up this time by blending the eerie worlds of past games like Alan Wake and Control. The upcoming expansion, titled “Alan Wake: Lake House,” is set in a new location – Cauldron Lake. Here, a research station belonging to the Federal Bureau of Control, known as the Lake House, undergoes a terrifying supernatural crisis after an experiment malfunctions. Players will delve into this chilling adventure as they explore this new setting.

In “The Lake House”, you’ll take on the role of FBC Agent Kiran Estevez, portrayed by Janina Gavankar, as your adventure unfolds concurrently with the primary narrative.

Just as anticipated with Alan Wake 2’s environment, The Lake House extension maintains the eerie ambiance, supernatural aspects, and heart-pounding terror that made us repeatedly return to the original game. Notably, the interior of the research station seems scarier and more chilling than ever before, so you may prefer to play this expansion with the lights on for a less spooky experience.
