A surprising collaboration is coming to Phasmophobia! The ghost-hunting game is teaming up with the world of Alan Wake, the popular survival horror series. While Phasmophobia regularly hosts special events, especially around holidays, this marks the game’s first big crossover with another franchise.
As a huge Phasmophobia fan, I’m getting so excited for 2026! The developers have revealed their plans, and it looks amazing. They’re not just adding a new map, but completely revamping existing ones, giving the characters a fresh look, and finally releasing the full 1.0 version after all this time in early access! Plus, they’d hinted at a special, one-time event, and it seems like we now know what that was all about – a cool crossover is coming!
Phasmophobia and Alan Wake Collab Announced
Kinetic Games has announced a crossover event for Phasmophobia with Alan Wake, bringing the eerie setting of The Dark Place into the ghost hunting experience. Developed in partnership with Remedy Entertainment, this collaboration will launch on May 12, 2026, shortly after Phasmophobia’s annual Easter event, Cursed Hollow, ends. A brief teaser trailer was released alongside the announcement, showing recognizable locations from both games. The trailer’s narration suggests the two worlds are merging, with quick shots of Phasmophobia maps like Camp Woodwind suddenly featuring elements from the Alan Wake universe.
Details about the event are still limited. The trailer heavily features the importance of staying in the light, a key element of the game Alan Wake. It’s unknown if players will need to do this in Phasmophobia, but generally, staying lit can help maintain sanity and affect certain ghost types.
If you’re a fan of games like Alan Wake and Phasmophobia, you won’t want to miss this event – it’s happening only once! According to the art director at Kinetic Games, there aren’t any plans to bring it back after it’s over, though they’ve hinted they might reconsider if players really enjoy it. The event is scheduled to end on June 2nd and will feature special in-game rewards for completing challenges that haven’t been revealed yet.

Although Phasmophobia has been popular recently, we haven’t heard much about Alan Wake. However, Remedy Entertainment is still hard at work and plans to release Control Resonant in 2026, the sequel to the highly praised Control. While we don’t have a specific release date yet, players can look forward to revisiting the shared universe of Remedy games – which includes both Alan Wake and Control – sometime this year.
