Alien: Isolation 2 In Development

As a long-time fan of the Alien franchise, I can hardly contain my excitement as Creative Assembly and Al Hope confirm that Alien: Isolation 2 is in development! Ten years ago, when I first huddled behind a vent, heart pounding, as the terrifying xenomorph stalked me through the shadows, I never imagined we’d be here today. The original game was a masterpiece that captured the essence of the 1979 movie perfectly, and it’s been a privilege to join Amanda Ripley on her harrowing journey ever since.

10 years have passed since Creative Assembly unveiled Alien: Isolation. Looking back now, both Creative Assembly and creative director Al Hope have verified that a sequel to Alien: Isolation, titled Alien: Isolation 2, is currently being developed.

In a social media post, Hope expressed that when working on Alien: Isolation, our main objective was to deliver an authentic experience reminiscent of the Alien franchise’s origins. We aimed to craft a fresh narrative that would recapture the atmosphere and dread found in the iconic 1979 film.

Over the years, it’s truly awe-inspiring to observe your unwavering enthusiasm for this sport. It’s remarkable how it has touched and inspired countless players globally.

He then dropped the bombshell that fans of the game have been eagerly awaiting.

In honor of our 10th anniversary, it’s appropriate for me to share some exciting news: We’ve been listening closely to your concerns, and I can now officially announce – with great pleasure on behalf of the team – that a new installment of Alien: Isolation is under early stages of production.

It’s undecided whether the next game in the series will be called Alien: Isolation 2 or something else; we also don’t know when a release date or more details about the sequel will be revealed. The studio has only stated that they will share information as soon as it’s ready, and this news is sure to excite fans of the game.

It’s hard to believe that it has been 10 years since we embarked on our journey with the release of Alien: Isolation.
As we embarked on crafting Alien Isolation, our primary objective was to deliver an immersive, genuine experience that harkened back to the core values of the Alien series – a fresh narrative evoking the ambiance and fear reminiscent of the 1979 cinematic masterpiece.
Over the years, it’s truly awe-inspiring to observe your unwavering love for the game, which has touched so many people globally. Your endless energy, joyful outbursts, and fearless demeanor in the presence of cinema’s most terrifying villain have been an inspiring and fulfilling spectacle.
Regardless of whether you’re a seasoned pro in Nightmare Mode or embarking on your inaugural adventure (best of luck!), we wanted to convey our heartfelt appreciation. This project, a dream come true for our talented team, has been nothing short of exceptional thanks to the support you have shown over the years.
As we celebrate our tenth year together, I feel compelled to assure you that your cries for help haven’t gone unheard. We’ve been listening closely, every step of the way.
Today, it’s a pleasure to announce, on behalf of the team, that a follow-up to Alien: Isolation is currently being worked on in its initial stages. We can’t wait to reveal further information as soon as we’re prepared to do so.
