All 5 Gods Of The One Piece World, Ranked

This article contains spoilers from One Piece‘s Elbaf Arc.

The world of One Piece is full of incredibly strong characters, and with so many vying for power on the seas, a clear hierarchy has emerged. A few individuals, like Luffy, possess extraordinary abilities – almost god-like power – that set them far apart from the rest.

However, Luffy isn’t the only character considered a ‘god’ in the world of One Piece. Over time, the author, Oda, has presented several characters with this status, and each one possesses unique and remarkable qualities.

Rain God

The Rain God is a relatively unknown deity in the story. It was first introduced during the Skypiea arc and was worshipped by the Shandians of Jaya, along with other gods. Because the Shandians are a moon-based race, it’s likely the Rain God originally came from the moon.

The Rain God is a mysterious power that fans haven’t learned much about yet, and its current wielder is unknown. However, it definitely exists, and it’s likely Eiichiro Oda will reveal its full strength soon. Many fans believe that Dragon is the one who possesses this ability.

Forest God

Similar to the Rain God, the Shandians first spoke of the Forest God during the Skypiea arc. The Forest God also appeared in the story arc taking place in Elbaf. According to the world of One Piece, this powerful figure lived around 800 years ago.

The Forest God unleashed demons upon the Second World, suggesting a connection to the origin of Devil Fruits and how they grant powers based on people’s desires. Considering the Ancient Kingdom’s sophisticated technology, it’s probable that the Forest God was a scientist who grew the original Devil Fruit Tree, ultimately leading to the creation of these unique abilities.

Sea God

Nico Robin first spoke of the Sea God while on Fishman Island, and it was later discovered that this being was actually Poseidon, who is also known as Shirahoshi.

The story mentions the Sea God again, clearly referring to Poseidon, a figure who also existed in the previous world. According to the text, Poseidon caused the world to sink before the Void Century, overwhelmed with anger after Joy Boy’s death.

Earth God

In One Piece, the Earth God is a very powerful figure created by Oda. Initially introduced during the Skypiea arc, the Earth God’s true identity was later hinted at in the Harley texts. While still shrouded in mystery, many fans believe the Earth God is actually Imu, the ruler of the world.

According to the Harley manuscript, the Earth God allied with a powerful, destructive serpent and destroyed the world during the First World, roughly 3000 years ago. This Earth God continued to exist in the Second World and is likely still around today as Imu. Fans anticipate that Oda will explore the Earth God’s story further in the upcoming Elbaf arc, given its connection to the Harley.

Sun God Nika

Watching One Piece, it’s become pretty clear that the most significant God we’ve seen so far is Nika, the Sun God. He’s famous as the Warrior of Liberation – a figure who faces hardship with a smile and a dance. The interesting thing about Nika is that he only appears when the world is on the brink of huge change, which makes me think something really big is about to happen in the story again.

People say the incredibly powerful Sun God Nika exists, and his abilities, unlocked through the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika, are unbelievably strong. Now that the Sun God has appeared, other gods like the Sea God and the Earth God are expected to take action as well.
