During your adventure in *Hollow Knight: Silksong*, you might find six special items called Psalm Cylinders. These can be brought to Vaultkeeper Cardinius, a character you’ll meet in the Whispering Vaults.
Because Psalm Cylinders are hidden all over Pharloom, it’s very difficult to find them all without a guide. Many are tucked away in secret, hard-to-find places.
All 6 Psalm Cylinder Locations in Hollow Knight: Silksong
In *Silksong*, players can find a total of six Psalm Cylinders. One of these, called the Sacred Cylinder, is essential for completing the main story. Returning the Sacred Cylinder to Vaultkeeper Cardinius will finish the Vaultkeeper’s Melody quest.
Cardinius trades 200 Rosaries for each Psalm Cylinder you find beyond the first one. If you collect all the Psalm Cylinders, you can earn a total of 1,000 Rosaries from him.
Psalm Cylinder #1 Location (Sacred Cylinder)
- Location: Whispering Vaults
Once you’ve defeated Trobbio, go to the right to find an elevator. This elevator leads to a new part of the Underworks you couldn’t reach before. Continue right and go through the simple platforming area, which will eventually open a route back to the Whispering Vaults. Activate the bench on your right, then turn left. You’ll discover the Sacred Cylinder near the body of a Vaultkeeper.

Psalm Cylinder #2 Location
- Location: Whispering Vaults
Starting from where Vaultkeeper Cardinius is, turn right and head to the back of the room until you find a climbable wall. Use the Wall Jump ability to get to the top, and you’ll discover a Psalm Cylinder on the ledge in the upper right corner.
Psalm Cylinder #3 Location
- Location: Whispering Vaults
Begin at the marked starting point and make your way through the maze to the bottom of the room. Once there, strike the wooden box in the lower left corner to push it to the right. Climb onto this box, then hit the box above it to move it all the way to the top. Use the wall climb ability to reach the now-elevated box and climb on top. Jump to the right to discover a hidden tunnel and unlock an upward air current.
Use the updraft to reach the highest point in the Whispering Vaults. From there, turn left to find a room containing another Psalm Cylinder. Pull the lever beside the door to return to the main area.
Psalm Cylinder #4 Location
- Location: Blasted Steps
You can find Grindle, a merchant, in the Blasted Steps, where he’s selling a Psalm Cylinder for 240 Rosaries. To get to his shop, you first need to unlock the Double Jump ability. Once you have it, go to the spot marked on your map to reach him.
Psalm Cylinder #5 Location
- Location: Underworks
Once you get the Surgeon Key from Whiteworks, you can challenge the Unravelled boss. After you defeat him, a new path will open on the right, leading you down into the Underworks. As soon as you drop down the first opening, turn left. You’ll see a wooden wall you can break – smash it open to find the fifth Psalm Cylinder.
Psalm Cylinder #6 Location
- Location: High Halls
Once you’re inside the High Halls, go to the spot shown on the map. You’ll find a dead pilgrim with the Psalm Cylinder there. To get to them, jump down from the ledge near the entrance into the water, turn left, and use Cling Grip to climb up to the platform on the left.
