We know it’s easy to get overwhelmed with all the gaming news, so we’ve compiled a complete list of every game currently in development. Get ready to discover the exciting titles you’ll be playing in the near future!
7. Star Wars: Eclipse
Become Droid

Starting off strong, we have Star Wars: Eclipse, a game that’s easily one of the most hyped – and certainly the most secretive – upcoming titles.
This new action-adventure game is set in the High Republic era, hundreds of years before the events of the original Star Wars films. It’s being created by Quantic Dream, the studio known for games like Detroit: Become Human and Heavy Rain. Players can anticipate a story-focused game with several playable characters, where their decisions will have a significant impact on the galaxy.
After its exciting announcement at The Game Awards 2021, there haven’t been any updates about the project. The initial trailer was visually impressive, featuring memorable music, new characters, and familiar Star Wars themes, but it didn’t reveal much about the game itself, leaving fans eager for more information.
Currently, there’s no official release date or confirmed platforms for Star Wars: Eclipse, leaving fans eagerly anticipating news about the game.
6. Star Wars: Galactic Racer
Han Solo on Four Wheels
Let’s talk about Star Wars: Galactic Racer, a new racing game developed by Fuse Games – a studio created by the team behind the Need for Speed series. We know a lot more about this one than some others, and it’s scheduled to release later this year! It will be part of the 2026 Star Wars releases, alongside the Ryan Gosling film Star Wars: Starfighter and the Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord series.
This racing game takes place in the Outer Rim, where you play as Shade, a pilot trying to make a name for themselves in the dangerous, unofficial Galactic League. The game focuses on skillful strategy and piloting three different types of vehicles – landspeeders, speeder bikes, and skim speeders. Think of it as a fast-paced, high-stakes race inspired by Han Solo – what’s not to enjoy?
Putting the fun aside, Galactic Racer is a welcome change for Star Wars racing fans. It goes back to the series’ origins by focusing on land-based vehicles and a more realistic feel, and it’s coming soon! Look for Galactic Racer on PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X|S starting October 6, 2026.
5. Star Wars Zero Company
Star Wars Meets XCOM
After Respawn Entertainment’s first-person shooter project was cancelled, they were assigned a new game still set in the Star Wars universe, called Star Wars Zero Company.
This game has an interesting collaboration: it’s made by both Respawn and Bit Reactor, the team known for games like XCOM and Civilization. The result is a fresh, turn-based strategy game that should appeal to players who enjoy tactical gameplay.
This game, set during the Clone Wars, strives to recreate the intense and dangerous feel of that time. You’ll create a unique main character and manage a base where your team members can be permanently lost if you aren’t strategic!
If you enjoy tactical shooters, Zero Company is one to watch. It’s currently scheduled to launch in late 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, but the exact release date is still to come.
4. Star Wars Jedi 3
More Cal Kestis
Okay, so EA really knocked it out of the park with Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Survivor. I mean, those games were awesome! So, it felt pretty obvious they were going to make another one, didn’t it?
The third Star Wars Jedi game is in development, bringing back Cameron Monaghan as the main character, Cal Kestis. While there are now a lot of games featuring characters who survived Order 66, the Jedi series continues to be enjoyable, especially for players who like exploring semi-open worlds with challenging, action-focused combat.
Information about Star Wars Jedi 3 is currently very limited. The game is probably still early in development, and it will be the first in the series not directed by Stig Asmussen, who has moved on to start a new studio called Giant Skull. Fans are excited and hoping for an official announcement trailer soon.
3. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake
A Dream on Hold
I totally lost it when I saw the announcement at the PlayStation Showcase back in September 2021 – they were remaking the classic Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic! As a huge fan of both Star Wars and RPGs, I was beyond excited, and I know a lot of other people were too.
It felt like a dream come true for many fans, offering a fresh take on a beloved and highly-regarded story within the Star Wars universe.
I was so hyped when they first announced this game, but honestly, it’s been a really bumpy ride ever since. It’s been over five years, and we still haven’t seen any actual gameplay – just that first teaser trailer! From what I’ve read in gaming news and heard from people in the industry, it sounds like the developers have been running into a lot of problems behind the scenes.
I was really excited when I first heard about this project – it started with Aspyr Media, who are great at bringing older games to new platforms. But then, in 2022, Saber Interactive – the folks who made Evil Dead: The Game and Space Marine 2 – took over. They said it was to make sure the game was really polished and up to standard, which I’m hoping is true!

Although the game’s development has been complicated and unclear at times, the publisher assures us the project is still happening and progressing. When it’s finally ready, the remake will be released on the latest PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
2. Untitled Star Wars Game by Amy Hennig
Uncharted in a Galaxy Far, Far Away
| Developer | Skydance New Media |
|---|---|
| Genre | Adventure |
| Platform | TBA |
| Release Date | TBA |
Amy Hennig is best known as the creative force behind the popular Uncharted video game series at Naughty Dog. Now, she’s leading Skydance New Media, the gaming division of Skydance Media, and working on a new Star Wars action-adventure game!
The project, first revealed in 2022, promises a story-focused gaming experience with a brand new plot. Since then, development has been quiet, and the developers haven’t shared the game’s name, shown any gameplay, or even released concept art.
It’s common for Skydance’s big projects to keep things under wraps, and this one is no different. This has sparked a lot of debate about who we might play in the game – a rebellious smuggler, a Jedi going into hiding, or a completely original character. Given Amy Hennig’s reputation for strong storytelling and engaging characters, expectations are incredibly high. However, we still don’t know when or on what platforms the game will be released. For now, all we can do is be patient and hope Hennig delivers another fantastic experience.
1. Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic
The Spiritual Successor We Deserve
We began this list with a highly anticipated game, and it’s fitting to end it with another exciting new release: Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic, which carries on the legacy of the beloved Knights of the Old Republic.
This new RPG was announced at The Game Awards 2025 and is being created by Arcanaut Studios, led by Casey Hudson. Hudson previously directed the original Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR) and oversaw the development of the Mass Effect trilogy, making this game highly anticipated for fans of those classic Star Wars RPGs!
Honestly, we haven’t gotten a ton of specifics yet beyond what Todd Hudson has said since the initial announcement, but it’s still incredibly exciting. He’s promised a truly modern Star Wars RPG, something that really lets you shape the story and feel totally immersed in the world, using the latest tech. As a long-time RPG fan, this is definitely the game I’m keeping my eye on – it sounds like everything we’ve been waiting for!
