All Assassin’s Creed Shadows Romances

In the vein of many modern action RPGs, Assassins Creed Shadows incorporates romantic elements. These are rather elementary and ultimately have minimal impact on the overall storyline, but for those who appreciate such interactions, they should find them enjoyable nonetheless. Interacting with NPC characters at certain stages of the game can be done by selecting dialogue options marked with a heart symbol. Engaging in these conversations will eventually lead to a dialogue option labeled with a Cupid’s arrow, and choosing this will initiate an intimate scene.

As a gamer, I can dive into the world of ‘Assassin’s Creed Shadows‘, where characters like Yasuke and Naoe have diverse romantic relationships. The choices are mine: hetero or same-sex, whichever feels more immersive to me. Interestingly, it’s possible to explore all these romantic options in a single gameplay session, even with Canon Mode active. However, there’s no special reward for engaging in these romantic encounters, just the satisfaction of experiencing the scenes themselves. It’s a bit disappointing that there aren’t any lasting benefits beyond the initial romantic interaction.

All Naoe Romances in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Gennojo (Naoe Romance)

In Yamashiro, following the conclusion of the main story mission “Lost Honor”, players can initiate the side quest titled “Sake and Swords”. The successful completion of this quest will unlock yet another side quest named “Honor Among Thieves” which subsequently leads to “Stolen Hearts”. During this last quest, after rescuing Gennojo at its outset, there’s an opportunity for players to express affection with the phrase “I’d like to embrace you.” This interaction results in a romantic scene between Naoe and Gennojo.

Katsuhime (Naoe Romance)

In the course of the main storyline, characters will come across Katsuhime, and subsequently, they can initiate the side quest titled “A Letter from Katsuhime” by conversing with her in Iga’s Shimmering Fields region. This side quest series, which includes a few other tasks, culminates in the quest called “The Jounin Pillow Book”. As the climax of this narrative, players will have an option to instigate a romantic moment between Naoe and Katsuhime by choosing the dialogue prompt “Let’s see what happens.” during this particular quest.

Koshiro (Naoe Romance)

Initially, players encounter Koshiro during the main plot. Later on, they can revisit Kitano Village to initiate the “Genzaburo’s Soldiers” side mission. This sequence leads to another side quest titled “The Leaf Turns,” where Naoe retrieves Koshiro’s toolbox for him. After her successful retrieval, Koshiro accompanies Naoe to Lover’s Lake, offering players the chance to pick the “Like me.” dialogue choice, which sets off a romantic scene. The symbol used for this interaction resembles that of ordinary flirting, but the outcome aligns with all other romantic interactions in Assassins Creed Shadows.

Initially, players encounter Hori Hidemasa in Otsu, Omi region, where they can engage him to initiate the side quest titled “The Betrayers”. During this quest, players hunt down and resolve each of Nobunaga’s traitors. Selecting the dialogue option “Meeting you was my reward.” results in a romantic scene unfolding between Yasuke and Hori.

Ibuki (Yasuke Romance)

Once they’ve advanced a bit in the primary tale, players can gain access to the “Ambush Interrupted” side mission in the Hijiyama region of Iga. Finishing this and subsequent Ibuki missions will eventually unlock the “Putting Down Roots” side quest. At the conclusion of this quest, they’ll be given the chance to pick the “I desire more than friendship.” option, which will instigate a romantic encounter between Yasuke and the Ronin.

Lady Oichi (Yasuke Romance)

Once you complete the primary mission titled “The Wheel Unmasked,” players can initiate the side quest “The Wheel Turns” by perusing Lady Oichi’s letter at your hideout. Once a new season rolls around, they’ll gain access to another side quest called “War Horse.” Finishing this and waiting for another season change will then unlock the final Rin-related side quest, “Ride into Town.” Throughout these three quests, if players have been consistently flirting with Rin, they will eventually be given the opportunity to express their affection by saying, “May I kiss you?”, and carrying out this action will result in a romantic moment between Rin and Yasuke.
