In each game of Battlefield 6, your chosen class will significantly influence your strategy. Over the years, this franchise has consistently used only a handful of classes. Recently, EA has shared some insights into the development of classes for the 2025 sequel, and each one caters to a distinct playstyle.
In contrast to Call of Duty, where players can customize their loadouts extensively, incorporating top-tier gear and equipment according to the game’s meta, Battlefield has traditionally offered a limited selection of predefined classes for its users. It appears that Battlefield 6, scheduled for release in 2025, will follow this pattern as well.
The Battlefield Labs test serves as a preliminary, early stage trial, primarily focusing on testing the fundamentals of the upcoming game. However, sneak peeks of the game in action have provided insights into what we might expect from the final Battlefield 6 launch.
Every Class in Battlefield 6 Revealed so far
A sneak peek at unauthorized Battlefield 6 Labs video shows the return of four well-known Character Roles: Assault, Engineer, Support, and Scout.
As depicted in the image you see, Battlefield 6 appears to carry on with the well-known Class system. With the exception of Battlefield 1 that introduced Assault, Medic, Support, Scout, Pilot, Tanker, Cavalry, and Elite Classes, most Battlefield games have stuck to a similar Class setup.
It’s important to note that the early version of Battlefield Labs, before its official release, has been leaked online. The gameplay footage reveals that players can select from four classes: Assault, Engineer, Support, and Recon. However, it’s crucial to understand that these classes might not be final. There could be modifications between the pre-Alpha stage and the full game launch.
Assault
In this setting, you’ll find conventional troops armed with automatic rifles, primarily for engaging enemies at short to moderate ranges. They engage fiercely, possessing limited self-healing abilities, and are versatile combatants capable of causing significant damage in various situations.
Engineer
A Technician immerses themselves in the intricate details of machinery and mechanics. They maintain their own vehicles, hinder those of the opposition, and employ a wide variety of tools to make a substantial difference in any given situation.
Support
In simpler terms, “Your Supporters” are like the healers on the battlefield. They’re diligent figures who swiftly replenish and reinforce your teammates. They can also disrupt the opposing team with their specialized gear, making them crucial for success.
Recon
If you enjoy operating from afar, taking out targets stealthily and at a distance, then the Recon role could be perfect for you. Known for its proficiency with Sniper Rifles, this position allows players to spot and signal potential dangers to their teammates.
There’s still ample time until we get our hands on the complete Battlefield 6. It’s important to remember that Battlefield Labs serves only as a testing ground, so we’ll have to stay patient and find out. Personally, are you content with Battlefield 6 maintaining the same four Classes? Or do you think the game should aim for something more daring?
