Battlefield 6 was initially very well-received when it came out in late 2025, and the first season of new content quickly followed. However, just as players were looking forward to Season 2, EA announced it would be delayed, which disappointed many fans.
The start of Season 2 has been delayed from January 20th to February 17th, meaning players will have to wait three weeks for new content. However, EA announced a “Frostfire Bonus Path” to keep fans engaged during the wait.

What Is The Frostfire Bonus Path In Battlefield 6?
A new way to earn rewards, called the Frostfire Bonus Path, will be available when the Season 1 Battle Pass launches on January 27, 2026.
The complete Bonus Path isn’t available yet, but we have some information to share. Rewards will include things like a new Weapon Package, Soldier Skin, and different XP Boosts.
While much of the new content will be available at no cost, EA has announced that some items will require purchasing the Season 1 Battle Pass. Here’s a breakdown of the upcoming Frostfire Bonus Path content, showing what’s free and what you’ll need to buy.

How Are Rewards Unlocked On The Frostfire Bonus Path In Battlefield 6?
You earn rewards along the Frostfire Bonus Path by collecting Bonus Path Points. These points are gained by finishing Weekly Challenges.
You can complete the Frostfire Bonus Path at the same time as the Season 1 Battle Pass – you don’t have to pick one over the other! To unlock rewards on the Bonus Path, you’ll collect Bonus Path Points; every ten points will give you a new item.
You earn points by completing Weekly Challenges, but the number of points depends on how hard the challenge is. Keep in mind that not all Weekly Challenges give you Bonus Path Points, so check the Challenges menu in the game for specifics.
