The Blade of Yumminess is a powerful, legendary katana added to Assassin’s Creed Shadows in update 1.1.6. Longtime fans may remember this blade from Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Its original name was meant to be the Blade of Yominas, but a funny mistake happened – the trailer’s automatic captions misheard it as ‘Yumminess,’ and the nickname stuck!
This sword has become a popular meme, but it’s also incredibly powerful! It can inflict damage that’s 250% higher than normal – that’s a huge boost. However, you can’t just buy it; you’ll need to collect all the pieces first. Here’s a guide on how to find every part of the Blade of Yumminess and craft it in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
Blade of Yumminess ‘Scabbard’ Part Location in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
Okay, so I’m trying to collect all the pieces of the Blade of Yumminess in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, and the first one is a bit tricky! You find it inside this Isu Glyph Door Cavern, which is located in the Genbu Highlands area of the Yamashiro region. But here’s the catch: you can’t just walk in! You actually have to hunt down all 13 Glyphs scattered around the map to unlock the door first. It’s a bit of a scavenger hunt, but totally worth it!
If you’re stuck trying to get into that cavern, I found this really helpful guide by TopMob. It walks you through finding all 13 Glyphs and unlocking the Glyph Door, so definitely check it out!
After opening the Glyph Door, enter and walk around the large statue of Kassandra in the center of the room.
In Assassin’s Creed Shadows, you can find the Blades of Yumminess’ Scabbard by opening a small chest hidden behind the statue. This chest also provides a clue to help you progress further in the game.

Next, travel to the Mount Akaiwa fast travel point in Miyazu Bay, Tamba. When you arrive, you’ll be near a tree overlooking the valley. Don’t jump off! Instead, climb back up onto the cliff and follow the stairs down to the temple.
Continue down the shrine steps until you reach a wooden bridge over a gap in the path. Turn right and drop down to the lower area – you’ll find another chest there.
In Assassin’s Creed Shadows, open the chest to obtain the Blade of Yumminess and discover a hint for what to do next.
Blade of Yumminess ‘Guard’ Part Location in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
After that, players should travel to the Myoken Shrine fast travel point. It’s northeast of Yuasa village in the Sazae Oni Shores area of the Kii region.
Just like before, you’ll start on a tree branch above Yuasa village. This time, instead of jumping down, turn around and go around the left side of the shrine – look for the arrow to help you find the way.
Once you reach the back of Myoken Shrine, look down from the cliff edge to find a hidden chest tucked against the wall below. Drop down to open it and you’ll get the Blade of Yumminess’ Guard in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, along with a clue about the last piece of the legendary katana.
Blade of Yumminess ‘Handle’ Part Location in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
To finish collecting the Blade of Yumminess, head to the Onyu Pass Overlook fast travel point in the Onyu Pass area of the Wakasa region.
Instead of heading to a different location, you’ll need to jump from the tree branch into the pool below.
Dive to the bottom of the pool to find a chest hidden underwater. Inside, you’ll get the handle for the Blade of Yumminess in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. With all four parts of the weapon now collected, you can craft the complete blade.
How to Craft the Blade of Yumminess in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
After collecting all four pieces of the legendary katana in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, you can finally craft the Blade of Yumminess. To do this, return to the Glyph Door Cavern, but make sure you’re playing as Yasuke.
A glitch is preventing players from entering the Glyph Door as Yasuke, even if they’ve previously unlocked it. To fix this, switch to Naoe, enter the Glyph Door Cavern, and then change back to Yasuke while you’re inside.
After entering the cavern, check to the right of the Kassandra statue. You’ll find a small weapon stand that lets you “Reforge the Blade.” Holding the action button will cause a lightning strike, giving you the Blade of Yumminess in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
The Blade of Yumminess is a powerful Long Katana in Assassin’s Creed Shadows available to Yasuke. It boasts excellent stats across the board, and its key feature – an engraving – dramatically increases melee damage by an impressive 250%.
The only drawback to this weapon is that Yasuke can’t use his special abilities while fighting. If you prefer a Yasuke playstyle focused on regular attacks rather than abilities, this long katana is a great choice.
