All Boruto Power Ups In Two Blue Vortex, Explained

Getting a power boost in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex feels like a real gift from the creators, Kishimoto and Ikemoto, especially with the incredibly powerful villains currently threatening the world. As fans have seen, Boruto Uzumaki has received some amazing upgrades, and other young ninjas like Sarada, Himawari, and now Inojin Yamanaka are getting them too.

I’ve noticed something a bit different about how characters get stronger in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex compared to the original Naruto. In Naruto, we really saw Naruto and Sasuke put in the work, training and struggling to achieve big power boosts. But in Boruto, it feels like characters are just…given these incredible abilities. The manga’s been throwing out a lot of these major power-ups, so I’ve put together a list of them all.

Sarada’s Mangekyo Sharingan Ohirume

Sarada Creates Black Spheres With Immense Gravitational Power

Sarada Uchiha’s Mangekyo Sharingan ability, called Ohirume, is incredibly powerful – a single use can instantly defeat an opponent. It works by harnessing gravity to crush enemies before they have a chance to defend themselves. Despite being her first Mangekyo Sharingan technique, Ohirume is remarkably strong, even for the Uchiha clan.

While battling the Shinju Ryu, Sarada created powerful black spheres that exerted a strong gravitational force. She used these to hold Ryu down and ultimately defeat him, leaving only his core intact. These spheres also granted her the ability to levitate and fly quickly, similar to the Otsutsuki clan.

Like many powerful dojutsu, Ohirume has a significant downside: it drains Sarada’s chakra very quickly. Using it for too long can cause bleeding in her eyes and leave her completely exhausted. Repeated use could even lead to permanent blindness.

Boruto’s Rasengan Uzuhiko

Boruto Converts Earth’s Rotation Into Rasengan Power

Boruto’s Uzuhiko Rasengan is currently one of the most powerful versions of the Rasengan. It’s significantly more dangerous than his usual Vanishing Rasengan, which he used earlier in the story. Instead of combining it with lightning, Boruto powers Uzuhiko with his own chakra and energy drawn directly from the planet, resulting in a Rasengan with almost limitless potential.

Boruto’s Rasengan Uzuhiko causes ongoing damage when it connects, throwing opponents off balance like it did with Code. After being hit, Code struggled to stay upright and move properly until Boruto stopped the attack. However, how powerful the Rasengan is still relies on how much chakra Boruto can gather from the planet.

Boruto and Sasuke’s Upgraded Sword

Boruto’s Sword Gets a Scientific Upgrade

The sword Boruto uses once belonged to Sasuke Uchiha. It’s a replacement for Sasuke’s original Sword of Kusanagi, which he relied on throughout much of Naruto Shippuden. Now, Boruto fights with it, channeling his chakra through the blade to power his attacks.

Initially, Boruto’s sword was ordinary. However, after Sumire fixed and modified it using technology inspired by Kashin Koji, it transformed into a technologically advanced weapon. It now includes a safety feature and is made with a unique, unknown material.

Boruto’s improved sword is really helpful because it automatically takes a little bit of his chakra to keep his special Uchiha sword technique, Hagoromo, going without him having to concentrate hard on it.

Inojin’s Mind Body Transmission Formation

Inojin Detects Chakra Signatures Hidden By Shinju

Driven by his determination to save Himawari Uzumaki, Inojin Yamanaka quickly learned the advanced Mind Body Transmission Formation in a single day. With training from Kashin Koji, he improved his existing Mind Body Transmission Technique, preparing him to defend Konoha against Shinju Mamushi’s attack.

Inojin uses a technique called Mind Body Transmission Formation to detect hidden enemies. This allows him to sense the unique energy vibrations of Mamushi’s clones, even if they’re trying to stay hidden around Konoha. By doing so, he helps Boruto’s team locate the clones before they can cause harm. He can also connect with several people at once through a private, undetectable link.

Kawaki Without Limiters

Amado Restores Kawaki’s True Power

As fans of Boruto are aware, Amado put restrictions on Kawaki to keep him alive, since Kawaki was meant to be a host for Isshiki Otsutsuki and they needed him to survive. Rather than making him stronger for fighting, Amado focused on defenses, limiting Kawaki’s full potential. Boruto Uzumaki eventually learned this and shared the information with Kawaki.

You won’t believe what happened next! Amado went ahead and removed the restrictions on Kawaki’s power, and the impact was HUGE. When he fought Jura in the Land of the Wind, he totally blew everyone away – even Jura, the leader of the Shinju Clones! Kawaki was just effortlessly dodging attacks and even managed to pierce Jura with those awesome black rods of his. It was incredible!

Recent chapters of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex show Kawaki demanding another significant power boost. He made Amado adjust his settings again, even though it’s dangerous to do so.

Himawari’s Healing Powers

Himawari Is a Tailed-Beast

Himawari Uzumaki has a unique connection with Kurama, the Nine-Tails, that differs greatly from her father, Naruto. Initially, people believed she was the new host for the Nine-Tails, but it turned out she’s more like Jura – a being who directly embodies a Tailed Beast. This likely explains why Himawari and Kurama connect so well; she understands his chakra and instincts on a deeper level than Naruto ever could.

The manga has shown hints of Himawari’s incredible power, especially when she uses the Nine-Tails’ energy. She’s a remarkably skilled healer, able to help others recover quickly. Her Tailed Beast Ball is also very powerful, comparable to Jura’s. While she’s still developing her abilities, many believe Himawari has the potential to become stronger than both of her parents and a formidable shinobi.
