One of the most peaceful activities in Starsand Island is catching bugs. It’s a great way to take a break from quests and simply enjoy the game’s world. After you make a Bug Net, you can start collecting the many different insects found all over the island.

How to Catch Bugs in Starsand Island
To start catching bugs, you’ll first need to make a Bug Net. You can craft one after completing the game’s tutorial. You’ll need 2 Fiber and 2 Softwood – both of which are easily found by chopping trees and bushes. Just go to a Worktable and combine the materials to create your Bug Net.
It’s easy to catch bugs! Simply walk up to one and swing your net. Bugs often try to escape when you approach, so pay attention to their movements and time your swing well. After a little while, they’ll usually become calmer.
Currently, bugs in Starsand Island aren’t very versatile. You can sell them for a little extra cash, turn them into protein powder, and occasionally you’ll need them to complete specific tasks.
