All Buggies in Grounded 2 and How to Get Them

In Grounded 2, players can explore the intricate environment of Brookhollow Park by riding various insects and arachnids. To access these transport methods and buggies, players must accomplish specific tasks and accept daring challenges within Grounded 2.

All Buggy Mounts in Grounded 2

In the current version of Grounded 2, there are only two Buggies that players can unlock. They are:

  1. Red Soldier Ant Buggy
  2. Orb Weaver Buggy

Based on the preliminary plan for Grounded 2’s Early Access, we can expect a host of new buggies to appear in the game through upcoming updates. The first one set to join the game is the Ladybug Buggy, which should make its debut sometime during Winter 2025.

How to Get the Red Soldier Ant Buggy

During the “Egg Hunt” main mission, you’ll come across the opportunity to acquire the Red Soldier Ant Buggy. To get it, you’ll need to complete a task involving collecting a Red Soldier Ant Egg from a nearby anthill. Here are the steps you should follow.

  1. Progress the main storyline until the“Egg Hunt” quest triggers, with the quest objective “investigate the nearby anthill.”
  2. Follow the quest marker to the Hatchery Anthill east of the Ranger Station: Snackbar.
  3. Explore the area to find the “Red Soldier Ant Egg.”
  4. Carry the Red Soldier Ant Egg back to your base and place it in the Hatchery.
  5. Wait 12 in-game hours to receive your Red Soldier Ant Buggy.

Before an Egg of the Red Soldier Ant can hatch, you must first obtain the blueprint for the Incubator during the “Hatching a Plan” mission.

What’s the Red Soldier Ant Buggy Best At?

As a nature enthusiast, I’d like to share my excitement about the Red Soldier Ant Buggy! This little marvel has an incredible talent for clipping through grass, and can haul up to 10 Grass Planks or Weed Stems at once. The Gather Mode makes it a speedy collector, snatching anything on the ground instantly. It’s a fighter too, but it’s mainly effective against smaller and mid-level creatures. Creatures of Tier 3 or higher are simply too formidable for this tiny titan to handle.

In simpler terms, the ant-like character, called the Red Soldier Ant Buggy, moves significantly quicker than the player does during the initial stages of the game. However, unlike some characters, it can’t scale walls.

How to Get the Orb Weaver Buggy

In the game “Grounded 2”, you’ll be able to obtain The Orb Weaver Buggy once you’ve finished the primary quest named “Networking” within the storyline. Here’s a simple guide on how to proceed:

1. Make sure you have progressed far enough in the game to reach the “Networking” main quest.
2. Complete this quest to advance your storyline.
3. Upon completion, The Orb Weaver Buggy will then become accessible for you to utilize in the game.

  1. Complete the “Networking” main quest by defeating the Masked Stranger.
  2. Submit the Network Center TURBO Optical Disk to a Ranger Station.
  3. Purchase the recipe for an Orb Weaver Buggy bundle from the Science Shop for 5,000 Raw Science.
  4. Locate an Orb Weaver Egg from the spider nest underneath the lamp post east of the Picnic Table.
  5. Carry the Orb Weaver Egg back to your base and place it in the Hatchery.
  6. Wait 24 in-game hours to receive your Orb Weaver Buggy.

If you’re quite a distance from where you are now, think about setting up an Incubation Center close to the streetlight for promptly hatching the egg instead.

What’s the Orb Weaver Buggy Best At?

The Orb Weaver Buggy is both swift and lethal. It serves as a battle companion, specifically designed for intense encounters against fellow insects in advanced combat scenarios. This mechanical creature has the ability to produce a deafening shriek, which can disorient adversaries, fire sticky spider silk to limit enemy mobility, and trample smaller opponents by simply running over them.

This creature boasts a speed that outpaces the Red Soldier Ant, yet lacks the knack for material collection like an ant does. However, it possesses a unique skill – it can traverse Spider Webs. This feature grants players convenient access to numerous shortcuts scattered throughout the map.

In the game Grounded 2, buggies don’t meet their end permanently. Instead, they will reappear following a specific timeframe should they be destroyed during battle.
