Guntouchables is a multi-genre game; it’s a cooperative top-down shooter that features wave after wave of mutant hotdog enemies, which the players, who are sentient sausages, must fend off. The game boasts several appealing aspects, one of them being its diverse cast of playable characters.
If you’ve previously experienced the game Back 4 Blood, then you might find Guntouchables reminiscent. In addition to featuring random enemy mutators and card perks, there is also a roster of sausage survivors, each with distinct personalities, traits, and special abilities. This guide will cover all of them in detail.
All Guntouchables Characters
Currently, there are four survivors in the game Guntouchables, with more expected to join as updates roll out. Each character provides a distinct playstyle, similar to other cooperative games. While all characters can wield any weapon efficiently, they each possess unique abilities and a unique set of perk cards that amplify their roles.
Doc Marcus
Special Ability | Bone Saw: Hold attack button to cut through targets. |
Field Medic (Perk) | Resurrect 100% faster. All medkits are 100% more effective. |
Doctor’s Orders (Perk) | Start every mission with a medkit. |
Surgical Precision (Perk) | Bone Saw damage is increased by 20%. |
Health Buff (Perk) | Health is increased by 20. |
Uber Charge (Perk) | Health can go beyond the maximum amount. Overcharged health depletes over time. |
Marcus serves as the medical member of the group, but this doesn’t diminish his threat level in any way. His unique talent lies in wielding an electric Bone Saw, which allows him to swiftly dismantle mutants at close quarters. Notably, his entire skill set is geared towards ensuring the team’s survival (and more).
As the missions grow tougher, Doctor Marcus becomes increasingly indispensable. His ability to revive faster and restore more health proves invaluable, especially since endurance will likely be the primary challenge in Guntouchables. In more demanding levels, starting each mission with a means to heal all characters will become vital.
Linda
Special Ability | Shovel: Swing a close-range shovel that knocks enemies back. |
Sun Salutation (Perk) | Stamina is increased by 10. |
Navigator (Perk) | Shows the exact consumables on the map. |
Caffeinator (Perk) | Start each mission with a Primate energy drink (increases movement speed). |
Counter Attack (Perk) | You have a chance to reflect incoming melee damage. |
Lethal Positivity (Perk) | Killing an enemy with the shovel increases your damage. |
Linda, a former scout master, contributes to her team by searching for necessary resources and exhibiting swift combat effectiveness at short ranges. Armed with a shovel that both inflicts damage and pushes back adversaries, she shares some resemblance in gameplay style with Doc Marcus.
If you’re looking to navigate swiftly across the map in search of valuable resources for your team, Linda could be an excellent pick. She’s particularly useful due to her abilities, and although she and Doc Marcus may not be as powerful compared to some other characters, they are indispensable for enduring lengthy gameplay sessions.
Alfred
Special Ability | Focused Shot: Steady your aim and deal double damage with shots. |
Healthy Skepticism (Perk) | Enemies show up as red dots on the minimap. |
Marksman (Perk) | Gain a 25% discount on rifles at the shop. |
Escape Plan (Perk) | Start every mission with a Decoy Kit. |
Mandela Effect (Perk) | If a rifle shot misses, automatically add one bullet to your magazine. |
One in the Chamber (Perk) | Rifle shots have a chance to gain 100% bullet penetration. |
As a devoted fan, I’d rephrase that as: I’m the team’s sharpshooter, always ready with my firearms at hand. Unlike the rest of the crew who wield tools, I possess a unique ability called Focus Shot. With this power, I can steady my aim and inflict twice the usual damage with each shot I take. However, beware! Each shot depletes my stamina, so it’s crucial to use it judiciously, especially when using rapid-fire weapons or spamming shots.
In simpler terms, Alfred is an expert (though his methods may raise some ethical concerns) who can accurately locate all opposing forces on our map. His shooting skills also include a higher chance of bullets passing through multiple targets, making him particularly effective at taking out strings of mutants with just a single shot.
Big Bang
Special Ability | Grenade: Throw a grenade that detonates on enemy contact. |
Strong Start (Perk) | Start every mission with an ammo box. |
Fannypack (Perk) | Base ammo capacity for all weapons is increased by 30%. |
Hotshot (Perk) | Gain a 25% discount on all shotguns and machine guns at the shop. |
Out with a Bang (Perk) | Drop a grenade when you go down. |
Resilient (Perk) | Start the game with body armor. |
Barry “Big Bang” Backhausen serves as the team’s commando, renowned for his exceptional ability to deal area-of-effect (AoE) damage. This makes him the most effective AoE damage dealer on the roster at present. His unique skills further highlight his role in clearing large groups of enemies, with benefits such as additional ammo, discounts on shotguns and machine guns, free body armor, and the ability to drop a grenade when he is knocked down. Big Bang thrives in chaotic situations, so it’s best to save your grenades for when the enemy hordes become overwhelming.
The Big Bang can be quite entertaining for those who enjoy explosions. Unlike other characters in the team, however, his unique ability can only be used three times before running out. To replenish your grenades, you’ll need to utilize an ammunition box instead.
