All CoD Warzone Changes Coming with Black Ops 6 Explained

As a seasoned gamer with decades of Call of Duty under my belt, I must say that this latest update for Warzone has me more excited than ever! The revamped Perk system and the introduction of Mastery Camos are long-awaited features that will undoubtedly add a new layer of depth to the gameplay.

In keeping with our annual custom, “Call of Duty: Warzone” is planned for a substantial upgrade after its merger with “Black Ops 6”. This merge will occur during Season 1, which is scheduled to launch on November 14, offering new content that will reintroduce the “Black Ops” gaming atmosphere into the battle royale environment. This marks the first time since “Black Ops Cold War” in 2021 that the “Black Ops” experience has been incorporated into a battle royale setting.

With each update, it seems as if we’re starting fresh with a whole new gaming experience because of the substantial modifications they bring, such as introducing new weapons, maps, and additional features. Here’s a rundown of all the changes that CoD Warzone will experience when Black Ops 6 Season 1 goes live.

All CoD Warzone Changes Coming with Black Ops 6 Season 1

Area 99 Resurgence map

Area 99, a brand new Resurgence map, is making its premiere in Call of Duty Warzone during Black Ops 6 Season 1. This exciting battleground draws motivation from the beloved multiplayer map, Nuketown, and will boast ten unique Points of Interest for players to explore.

Omnimovement System

Besides unveiling a fresh map, one major update in Warzone is the Omnimovement system, revolutionizing the gameplay and player movement during both exploration and combat. This novel movement method, present in Multiplayer too, empowers players to sprint, slide, and dive in any direction they choose. It further includes a face-down prone position, offering a complete 360-degree freedom of action.

Dedicated Melee Slot and Unlimited Tactical Sprint

In the game “Warzone”, Unlimited Tac Sprint comes back, thanks to the addition of a Dedicated Melee Slot in “Black Ops 6”. To use it, just arm yourself with a knife and you’ll be able to employ Unlimited Tac Sprint while wielding it. This fresh feature lets players keep a knife as part of their gear without giving up the Secondary Weapon Slot.

In the initial version of the battle royale game, Unlimited Tac Sprint was a highly popular feature, but subsequent updates limited its usage. However, with the addition of BO6, this beloved feature has returned! All you have to do is arm yourself with the specific knife to make full use of it.

Classic Inventory Return and Looting Changes

In Warzone, the loot system will go back to its original style as it merges with Black Ops Cold War. The traditional looting method allows players to have a primary inventory that fills up and necessitates them to discard items in order to make room.

Here are all the items players can pick up and have stored in their inventory:

  • Cash
  • Gas Mask
  • Armor Plates
  • Killstreak
  • Field Upgrade
  • Primary, Secondary, and Melee Weapons
  • Assault Rifle, SMG, Shotgun, Sniper, and Launcher Ammunition

Armor and Munition Satchels

In the game Warzone, satchels are back, bringing back the traditional inventory system. These satchels allow players to expand their capacity for ammo and armor. There are two kinds of satchels in this game: an Armor Satchel and a Munition Satchel. Players must decide which one to use based on whether they prefer to carry more armor or extra ammunition.

Wildcards

In the reintroduction of Wildcards to Multiplayer, Warzone gamers can now incorporate Wildcards into their loadout selections as well. Altered to accommodate battle royale gameplay, these Wildcards grant players additional benefits when personalizing their loadouts.

Pick-3 Perk System

In the new setup, Warzone is going to introduce a fresh Pick-3 Perk system, which allows players to choose three Perks for their loadout, in addition to an optional Wildcard. Additionally, players will have the opportunity to gather lootable Perks scattered across the map and receive Pick-3 Perk Packs from defeated adversaries.

As a gaming aficionado, I’ve got some exciting news! The Perk system has been reworked to make less popular or underused Perks more appealing and strategic. This means you’ll see a blend of forgotten and favorite Perks that could change the way you play the game. And here’s the cherry on top: the much-loved Specialist Perk Package will now be up for grabs as an in-game loot item! So, get ready to shake things up and enjoy the new tactics these changes bring!

Mastery Camos

For the first time post its debut in 2020, Call of Duty: Warzone is introducing an exclusive Mastery Camo progression, which includes the Gold Tiger, King’s Ransom, Catalyst, and Abyss finishes (as depicted in the image above). These can be earned by fulfilling specific conditions, providing players with extra objectives within the game to strive for during gameplay.

Prestige System

In the world of Warzone, a fresh addition called the Prestige System, a distinctive Multiplayer characteristic, is now available within the battle royale setting. This feature presents a level advancement system replete with difficult goals and unique prizes for players to strive towards.

Similar to Multiplayer mode, each time you Prestige, your character’s level gets reset, temporarily restricting certain weapons (including popular choices) and content. To reacquire access, you either have to level up again or use a Permanent Unlock Token to guarantee these items. Nevertheless, the levels of the weapons themselves will remain unchanged during this reset.

Global Weapon Builds

In simpler terms, the Global Weapon Builds system is a convenient feature that syncs your weapon setup across Black Ops 6 Multiplayer, Warzone, and Zombies. This means any modifications you make to your weapons, like adding attachments, skins, emblems, or charms, will instantly reflect in all three game modes. This streamlines the process, making it quicker for players to update their weapon configurations across various gameplay styles.

Quality-of-Life Changes and Improvements

Every time there’s a big update for Warzone, I can expect a heap of improvements that’ll make a real difference in the way I play Battle Royale and Resurgence matches. These changes are aimed right at enhancing my gaming experience!

Here’s an overview of the quality-of-life enhancements being rolled out as a result of combining BO6 and Warzone:

  • Weapon Rarity Outline: Ground loot weapons will now have an outline matching their rarity color for easier identification.
  • Mantling Improvements: Improved speed and fluidity when mantling.
  • Pick Up Self-Revives While Downed: Players who are downed can now pick up Self-Revives from dead enemies or ground loot.
  • Downed Enemies Don’t Trigger High Alert
  • Bounty Threat Level Sound Queue
  • Reduced In-Game Splashes
  • Minimized Lootcards When Viewing Loot
  • Med Cabinets Loot Drop Improvements
  • Live Ping Duration Reduction: The duration of live pings that mark enemies’ movement will last less time.
  • Pinging Loot Triggers Navigation Point: When a player pings loot, a navigation point will be generated, allowing their teammates to track the marked item.
  • Simplified In-Match UI and Menus
  • Updates to Infil and Exfil Sequences
