While not very large, the map in *Dying Light: The Beast* is full of activities and things to discover. You’ll find relay stations, safe zones, dark zones, and numerous collectible items spread throughout the area.
Dying Light: The Beast features 99 collectibles spread across 12 different categories. You’ll find some items easily visible in the world, while others are hidden inside buildings or require completing story missions to unlock. This guide details how to find every collectible in the game.
Cabinet of Curiosities Achievement in Dying Light: The Beast
To unlock this achievement, you must find every collectible in the game, which are all listed in the Collections menu. Completing four specific collections will also earn you trophies – these are highlighted below. Here’s the full list of collectibles:

- All 6 Asylum Patient Records

Family Picture Trophy (All Caster Woods Newspapers locations)
This guide will show you how to find all eight newspapers scattered across seven locations in the game. You’ll find four in town, two in the Vale, and one northwest of the Industrial Park. Collecting them all unlocks the ‘Family Picture’ achievement in *Dying Light: The Beast*.
Know What ‘Castor’ Means? Trophy (All Castor Woods Beaver Statue Locations)
There are eleven bronze beaver statues hidden around the area, each dressed to represent a different job, such as an engineer or a monk. If you find and interact with all of them, you’ll unlock a story for each beaver and earn an achievement for completing the collection.

All Sigils Locations
In *Dying Light: The Beast*, you can find eight stone sigils hidden throughout the game world, and discovering them will unlock one of the game’s legendary weapons.
Dr. Peter Paulander Diaries
You can find Dr. Peter Paulaner’s house in the Golden Pines section of the Villa Area. Inside, you’ll discover three journals that reveal more about his life and work at the Asylum.
Fisher Family Documents

There are two Fisher Family Documents to find. One is at Town Hall, and the other is in the basement of the Asylum. You’ll need to complete the story mission “Cries Trapped In The Walls” before you can access the Asylum to get it.
In *Dying Light: The Beast*, the character’s last name is sometimes spelled “Fisher” and other times “Fischer.” It’s unknown which spelling is accurate, but anything related to either version of the name will apply to this topic.
What Happened at the Asylum Achievement (All Patient Files Locations)
To finish the trophy, you’ll need to find six patient files, and they’re all located in the Asylum. The Asylum is a challenging area that becomes accessible near the end of the game’s story. You’ll unlock access by starting the mission “Cries Trapped In The Walls” – it’s the third-to-last story mission. You can collect all six files while playing through this mission.
Caster Woods recipes
The game features nine unique recipes for unusual foods, like strawberry pasta and beaver tail. You’ll need to find them all to collect everything! Half of the recipes are hidden within the town, while the rest are spread throughout the surrounding area.
Baron’s Research Recordings
The Baron’s research includes nine recordings, which can be found near the chimera arenas. These recordings are spread across eight different locations, as two of them are housed within the same building.

And Don’t Forget to Wash Your Hands Achievement (All Hidden Truths With Spark Podcast Locations)
All eight podcasts are saved on cassette tapes hidden throughout the game world. If you’re looking to collect them all, a video guide showing exactly where to find each one is available.
Dr. Tal Cubero Recordings
There are five recordings made by Cubero, and they’re found in just two places: a house in the Villa area and inside the Asylum. You can access the house pretty much whenever you want, but the Asylum only opens during a late-game quest in *Dying Light: The Beast*.
Olivia’s Recordings
Olivia has left recordings at three different places: two within the Monastery, one in the Industrial Park, and another in the furthest Power Plant. If you can’t find these recordings, you might need to advance the story further.

Murals
Okay, so I’ve been hunting down all the collectibles in *Dying Light: The Beast*, and the murals are definitely the most numerous! There are 27 of them total. What’s kinda neat is you don’t just *find* the mural, you also need to locate the paint and brushes nearby to actually ‘complete’ the collectible. I’ve put together a video showing exactly where all the murals are, and more importantly, where to find the painting supplies for each one. It should save you a lot of running around!
