If you choose to focus only on the primary storyline in Donkey Kong Bananza, it might not be overly lengthy, approximately twelve hours or so. But if you delve into the extra content scattered throughout the game, your playtime could easily extend to thirty hours or more – and that’s before considering any post-credit content.
Finishing all the extra content in the game “Donkey Kong Bananza” might require an additional ten hours, especially if players chose to bypass many Banandium Gems during their journey to the end credits. This guide will provide tips on what players should do after completing the main story and outline the rewards they can earn in the post-game.
Help Yourself to Some Free Outfits
Once the game is finished, players receive DK’s Mining Helmet and Pauline’s Gold-Mining Equipment. The latter increases the amount of gold gained from pickups by twice. Additionally, they can potentially unlock Pauline’s Diva Outfit and DK’s Invisibility Tie, although these items require extra effort to obtain (we’ll cover that in a bit).
Finish Collecting All of the Bananas and Fossils

Regardless of how meticulous a player might be, it’s possible they overlooked a few fossils and bananas during their journey to the planet’s center. This makes now an ideal opportunity for them to search for these missing items. They can uncover 33 extra Banandium Gems by exploring the Ingot Isle Cave-In region, which opens up in the post-game of Donkey Kong Bananza.
Repair the Ingot Isle

Upon revisiting Ingot Isle, players won’t just find new bananas. They can also interact with Grumpy Kong who has the power to revitalize the area, albeit at a cost of some gold coins. Gift him 5,000 gold and you unlock Battle Rush, add another 10,000 for Boss Rush. The final upgrade, Baboomtown Restoration Project, costs a hefty sum of 120,000 gold but rewards players with a golden Donkey Kong statue. Once all three projects are completed, you can chat with Poppy Kong to receive the Invisibility Tie for DK.
Go Back Down to the Groove Layer

Going back to the Groove Layer uncovers a fresh post-game mission where gamers will mend the Dance Hall. Now, the Groove Layer boasts a Fossil Museum, a place for players to scrutinize the assortment of fossils they’ve discovered throughout their journey. Don’t forget to watch for Glamtone, a roaming Fractone that can be found in 17 different game layers. If you’re dressed appropriately, he’ll bestow Banandium Gems as a reward!
Complete the 6 Elder Rehearsals

In “DK Bananza,” the primary post-game content consists of Elder Rehearsals, which reward players extra Banandium Gems, allow them to activate Golden abilities for character transformations, and create invincible duplicate records capable of breaking through any terrain. Players can participate in these Elder Rehearsals once they’ve gathered the necessary Banandium Gems, with the final one becoming accessible after completing the other five. At this point, players will also receive Pauline’s Diva Dress. Once all six rehearsals are finished and the player returns to the surface, “DK Bananza” reveals its secret ending.
