As a dedicated Formula One fanatic, I can’t contain my excitement for the return of the ultimate racing competition! It’s none other than EA Sports F1 25 that’s revving up our gaming screens this year. With every official driver from the 2025 grid in tow, it promises an exhilarating ride with gameplay improvements and a wealth of new content. But let’s not forget the heart of the game – the drivers themselves! Their skills and the machines they command will shape their destiny, as their performance in both the Drivers’ and Constructors’ Championships could very well determine who takes home the coveted trophies. Buckle up, folks; it’s going to be one heck of a ride!
As a dedicated gamer immersed in the world of F1 25, I’ve got the lowdown on all 20 drivers, ranked by EA Sports based on their ratings. These scores take into account their current form and career achievements, with each driver’s position explained. Apart from the overall rating, drivers are judged on four crucial aspects: Experience (number of races under their belt), Racecraft (how well they handle the car), Awareness (their ability to steer clear of penalties), and Pace (how quickly they can lap compared to top performers and teammates).
20. Isack Hadjar – Racing Bulls (68 OVR)
Consistent Junior Driving Performance Leads to Major Opportunity
- Rating – 68
- Experience – 51
- Racecraft – 66
- Awareness – 65
- Pace – 72
In the year 2025, Isack Hadjar is among five newcomers making their Formula 1 debut. This racing prodigy gained entry into the sport following an outstanding performance in the 2024 FIA Formula 2 Championship with Campos Racing, where he clinched second place overall, and achieved four victories during the season. In his first Formula 1 season as a rookie, Hadjar has managed to score points in two races – the Japanese and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix. Despite being relatively inexperienced at the highest level and occasionally receiving penalties due to this lack of experience, Hadjar has demonstrated that with concentration and perseverance, he can produce impressive results.
19. Kimi Antonelli – Mercedes (72 OVR)
Assuming Hamilton’s Difficult-to-Replace Successor Role

- Rating – 72
- Experience – 50
- Racecraft – 67
- Awareness – 79
- Pace – 76
Out of all the newcomers in the 2025 Formula 1 season, Kimi Antonelli has the most difficult task: stepping into the shoes of seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton. Although he’s fortunate to drive a more competitive car than many of his fellow beginners, Antonelli is anticipated to produce results comparable to those of an experienced veteran. In the junior leagues, Antonelli accumulated an impressive resume – clinching the ADAC Formula 4 Championship with nine victories, the Italian Formula 4 Championship with thirteen wins and multiple fastest laps, as well as the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine with five wins.
Ever since his first appearance in Formula 1, Antonelli has managed to earn points in five races. This stretch includes the season kick-off in Australia and continues up until Miami. The exception was during the Bahrain race where he finished in 11th position. It’s worth mentioning that he also set the fastest lap at the Japanese Grand Prix.
18. Jack Doohan – Alpine (73 OVR)
Challenging and High-Pressure Run

- Rating – 73
- Experience – 51
- Racecraft – 71
- Awareness – 67
- Pace – 78
At the end of the 2024 season, Doohan raced in his first Formula 1 event with Alpine at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi. This placed him slightly ahead of other newcomers due to his prior experience. Before joining Formula 1, this novice had competed in five lower racing divisions, including repeat performances. His most notable achievements were a second-place finish in the 2021 FIA Formula 3 Championship and a third place in the 2023 FIA Formula 2 Championship. Throughout these competitions, he consistently earned points and secured multiple victories.
Initially, his ascent to the upper echelons proved difficult. A whisper had cast him in a position lower than expected within the team prior to competition, leading to a Did Not Finish (DNF) in his debut and subsequent midfield results that yielded no points during his early Formula One appearances.
In the top-tier racing category for the 2025 season, Jack Doohan was substituted by Franco Colapinto from Argentina after the Miami race on May 4, 2025. However, Colapinto participated in only six out of the entire season’s races.
17. Gabriel Bortoleto – Stake Kick Sauber (74 OVR)
Reigning Formula 2 Champion

- Rating – 74
- Experience – 50
- Racecraft – 76
- Awareness – 68
- Pace – 77
2024 saw Gabriel Bortoleto clinch a spot in Formula 1 after winning the Formula 2 World Championship with Invicta Racing, boasting two victories and consistently high performance throughout the season. The Brazilian’s success was not new as he had previously taken the Formula 3 title in 2023. In his debut season, Bortoleto encountered difficulties with Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber due to their persistent issues with performance. Nevertheless, his best race result was a 14th place. In qualifying rounds, however, he displayed exceptional skill, even managing to reach Q3 and compete against top teams.
16. Oliver Bearman – Haas (74 OVR)
Considerable Background in Important Driving Roles

- Rating – 74
- Experience – 52
- Racecraft – 84
- Awareness – 65
- Pace – 73
In the 2024 season, similar to other F1 drivers, Oliver Bearman got an opportunity to fill in, taking Carlos Sainz’s place at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. Remarkably, he ended up in 7th position. Moreover, that year, he also competed for Haas in two additional races, managing to secure a top-10 finish only once.
In his early racing years, the British driver demonstrated impressive skills, clinching third place in the FIA Formula 3 Championship with Prema Racing. He also claimed victories in both the ADAC Formula 4 and Italian Formula 4 championships, racking up numerous wins and podium finishes. When he made his Formula 1 debut, Bearman earned points in three races with Haas, displaying a promising performance not only during races but also in qualifying rounds, highlighting his talent at the highest level of motorsport.
15. Lance Stroll – Aston Martin (78 OVR)
Long-Standing F1 Driver with No Major Achievements

- Rating – 78
- Experience – 83
- Racecraft – 81
- Awareness – 78
- Pace – 76
In the racing squad belonging to his father, Lance Stroll has been a consistent participant in Formula 1 since 2017, managing only one top-10 placement during that inaugural season. Throughout his tenure, he’s garnered some podium positions, but more recently, he’s found it challenging to shine among his fellow racers and, notably, his teammates.
In his junior racing years, the Canadian driver excelled, clinching titles such as the FIA Formula 3 European Championship and the Italian Formula 4 Championship. He also participated in numerous Endurance races but didn’t leave a lasting mark in that particular category. To start the 2025 season, Stroll demonstrated impressive form with multiple top-scoring races, even surpassing his teammate and two-time F1 champion, Fernando Alonso, initially.
14. Liam Lawson – Racing Bulls (80 OVR)
Steady Racing Performance Despite Unstable F1 Career

- Rating – 80
- Experience – 54
- Racecraft – 76
- Awareness – 75
- Pace – 85
Even though Liam Lawson is categorized as a newcomer, he possesses an edge over many of his contemporaries due to his previous Formula One experience. During 2023, Lawson stepped in for AlphaTauri (now known as Racing Bulls) for five races, earning points in one. He continued with the team for the last six races of that year, securing points in two of them. In the following season of 2024, Lawson joined Red Bull as a substitute for Sergio Perez but was only able to compete in two races before being replaced by Yuki Tsunoda. However, Lawson returned to Racing Bulls later on.
Lawson boasts a robust history in motor racing: he clinched second position in Super Formula, winning three races, placed third overall in the 2022 FIA Formula 2 Championship, secured three second-place finishes in Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters, ended up fifth in the FIA Formula 3 Championship, and achieved a second-place finish in ADAC Formula 4. This wealth of expertise positions him among the most experienced newcomers on the track.
13. Yuki Tsunoda – Red Bull (82 OVR)
Loyal Team Member Earns Big Shot

- Rating – 82
- Experience – 77
- Racecraft – 78
- Awareness – 77
- Pace – 85
As a racer myself, I’ve finally made it to the big leagues, securing a long-desired spot at Red Bull after a previous setback by Lawson. This is a significant milestone for me, the Japanese driver who’s been racing with the Red Bull family since 2021 on their second team, Racing Bulls (formerly AlphaTauri). I’ve consistently scored points in every season I’ve competed, making my mark in Formula 1. My junior career was spent exclusively in the FIA Formula 2 and Formula 3 circuits. In F2, I finished second overall with three victories and numerous podium finishes, while in F3, I placed ninth, earning one win and three podium finishes.
12. Alexander Albon – Williams (83 OVR)
Consistent Driver Keeps Delivering Results

- Rating – 83
- Experience – 81
- Racecraft – 82
- Awareness – 78
- Pace – 85
As a veteran of the Red Bull clan, Alex Albon has forged an impressive career in Formula One, starting from 2019, where he consistently earned points every season he participated and even claimed two podium positions. Prior to his F1 journey, Albon demonstrated remarkable consistency across various racing leagues.
In his early racing career, he attained notable results such as a third position in the Formula Renault 2.0 Euro, a seventh place in the FIA Formula 3 European Championship, and third placements in both the GP3 Series and the FIA Formula 2 Championship. During these competitions, he amassed several victories and podium finishes. Additionally, he demonstrated exceptional skill in the F1 Esports Virtual Championship, achieving a second-place position overall with one victory and four additional podium appearances.
11. Nico Hulkenberg – Stake Kick Sauber (84 OVR)
Veteran Driver With a Wealth of Experience

- Rating – 84
- Experience – 87
- Racecraft – 86
- Awareness – 85
- Pace – 82
In the year 2025, Nico Hülkenberg stands as one of the three eldest drivers on the Formula One grid, boasting a rich career history dating back to 2010. Across various teams, he has showcased strong athletic ability and sportsmanship. He’s managed to secure points in more seasons than not, and notably clinched seventh place in the 2018 World Championship while representing Renault.
As a die-hard fan, I can proudly say that before his Formula One journey commenced, Hülkenberg was an integral part of Porsche’s triumphant team in the 2015 24 Hours of Le Mans. Moreover, he clinched the GP2 Series championship with ART, achieving five victories, and ruled the Formula 3 Euro Series, pocketing seven wins and numerous podium finishes. The diverse racing background that he has amassed over the years has honed in him the talent and tenacity necessary to thrive at the pinnacle of motor sports.
