All Events & Minigames Locations in Heartopia

Heartopia is a relaxing game focused on building connections with others. A key way to do this is through Events – short, fun minigames that give you valuable rewards like rare items, collectible pods, progress on your hobbies, and coins. These Events become available as you level up your Developer’s Guild and unlock new hobbies. Keep reading to find out more about how Events work in Heartopia and how to unlock them.

How to Unlock All Heartopia Events

At the start of Heartopia, all Events are locked and unavailable. You’ll need to reach Developer’s Guild Level 7 before you can begin participating. Once you do, the game will introduce you to town-wide minigames and unlock your first three Events.

Okay, so I finally hit Level 7, and it’s awesome! I unlocked three new things: Sea Fishing, this fun Bubble Machine Challenge, and a puzzle called Yellow Duck Jump. The best part is, everyone gets to try these when they reach Level 7 – it doesn’t matter what your hobbies are, they’re open to all of us!

Once you hit Level 8, two new Events—Bait the Insects and Nest of Hundreds—become available. However, you’ll need to have unlocked the Insect Catching and Bird Watching hobbies first to access them.

Players usually begin Events. The first time you start an Event each week, it costs 2,000 gold. If you try to start the same Event again that week, it will cost 3,000 gold, and the price will continue to rise with each further attempt.

It’s usually better to participate in Events created by other players instead of always starting your own. Also, each day, a non-player character (NPC) will host a free Event in town that lasts for 30 minutes. These are known as Town Events.

If a computer-controlled character starts an event in Heartopia, players who’ve unlocked it can participate for free. This is a great way to collect fish and insects and earn rewards without using your own gold, so it’s a good idea to check the map daily.

To see when free Events are happening, tap the Event icon on the map. A small note at the bottom of the pop-up window will tell you when an NPC will host that Event next.

All Events in Heartopia

Sea Fishing Event

Location DG Level Main Objective Personal Goal Group Goal
Fishing Village Boats Level 7 Catch as many deep-sea fish as possible within the time limit. Catch 5 Fish Catch 20-30 fish together

You unlock Sea Fishing as soon as you reach Level 7 in the Developer’s Guild. To start, head to the Fishing Village and talk to Bill, who’s standing by the boats. Once the event begins, you’ll be assigned to a specific boat – make sure you get on the right one! After the timer runs out, the boat will head out to deeper waters where you can catch special fish.

You’ll have a limited time to fish and try to catch as many fish as you can. You personally need to catch five, but the whole group usually aims for thirty. Reaching these goals earns you special rewards called Surprise Gacha Pods. Bill hosts free fishing events in Sea Fishing Town on certain days, but they only last about ten minutes.

Bubble Machine Challenge

Location DG Level Main Objective Personal Goal Group Goal
Purple Light Beach Level 7 Pop floating bubbles in two timed rounds. Earn 6 points Earn 30 points together

Just like with Sea Fishing, I unlocked the Bubble Machine Challenge when I hit level 7 in the Developer’s Guild. To start it, I had to go talk to the Beach Surfer – he’s hanging out near that big inflatable arena, so you can’t miss him!

You’ll bounce around inside a big inflatable space filled with bubbles! The aim of the game is to pop as many bubbles as you can before the timer hits zero. You can safely pop the green and orange bubbles, but watch out – they’ll start to flash red! When a bubble turns red, it means it’s about to vanish, so pop it quickly!

This Event is not tied to any hobby, so everyone at Level 7 or higher can fully participate.

Yellow Duck Jump Puzzle

Location DG Level Main Objective Personal Goal Group Goal
Purple Light Beach (giant rubber duck) Level 7 Reach the top of the obstacle course Complete 2 routes Complete 8 routes together

You can start the Yellow Duck Jump Puzzle once you reach Level 7 at the Developer’s Guild. It’s found on Purple Light Beach. To begin, climb the large rubber duck and talk to Harry. This puzzle is a challenging vertical obstacle course – try to reach the top without falling off!

The pink path is challenging, but the green path is simpler and ideal for those new to the course. In the middle, you’ll find four buttons. Stepping on a button creates temporary platforms that help your teammates progress. These platforms vanish when you step off, so timing is key.

You’re aiming to finish two climbing routes on your own, but as a team, you need to complete eight routes in total. Don’t worry if you fall – you have time to try again!

Bait the Insects Event

Location DG Level Main Objective Personal Goal Group Goal
Onsen Mountain and Crater Lake Level 7 Catch insects across two timed areas Catch 10 insects Catch 50 insects together

You can start “Bait the Insects” when you reach Developer’s Guild Level 8 and have the Insect Catching hobby. While you can access the event area without the hobby, you won’t be able to actually participate. The event starts at the insect baiting device located on Onsen Mountain, a short walk uphill from the lake.

You’ll have three minutes to collect as many insects as you can in the starting area. It’s helpful to eat a good meal beforehand to give you energy. After the first three minutes, you have one minute to run to Crater Lake for the next part, which will also last three minutes. Naniwa occasionally hosts free events in town to help with this activity, usually on certain mornings or evenings.

Nest of Hundreds Event

Location DG Level Main Objective Personal Goal Group Goal
Eastern Fishing Village Level 8 Photograph rare birds Collect 30 total stars Collect 150 total stars together

You can unlock ‘Nest of Hundreds’ when you reach Developer’s Guild Level 8 and have the Bird Watching hobby. The event takes place in the Eastern Fishing Village, near the fountain and the bird-calling device. During the event, rare birds will appear, and you’ll need to use binoculars to find and photograph them before they fly away.

We track your achievements using star points instead of just counting how many things you find. You’ll aim to collect Info Cards worth 30 stars on your own, and as a group, you’re working towards a total of 150 stars. The good news is you can photograph the same bird more than once to help reach your goals!

Idle birds are easy to capture, but birds that chirp or perform unique actions award more stars.

Tea Party Puzzle

Location DG Level Main Objective Personal Goal Group Goal
Player’s Home Any Complete puzzles with friends ——– ——–

Not all events happen in town. Tea Parties, for example, are held right at your house! You can invite friends and neighbors over for a relaxed get-together where you can chat, play with party favors, solve puzzles, share food, and even let your pets join the fun. Even though there’s no competition, Tea Parties still count as official events in Heartopia.
