After being released nearly two months ago, Pokémon Legends: Z-A is receiving its Mega Dimension DLC very soon. This expansion, which players will need to purchase, adds new quests, challenging Rogue Mega Evolution battles, and the chance to catch returning Pokémon, along with unlocking new Mega Evolutions. Despite several trailers already being shown, it’s probable that the DLC still has surprises in store for players.
Details about downloadable content for Pokemon Legends: Z-A were accidentally revealed several weeks ago, and it looks like those leaks were accurate. All the Pokemon shown in the trailers were included in the leaked list, which also mentioned 19 new Mega Evolutions. The game will also introduce new gameplay features, like a baking minigame with Hoopa and a character named Ansha, allowing players to explore a new area called Hyperspace Lumiose.

As a huge Pokémon fan, I’m getting really excited about the Mega Evolutions they’ve shown off! It seems like the leaks we’ve been seeing are pretty accurate, which gives me hope for the Mega Dimension DLC. Remember when Mega Heatran and Darkrai, and even Mega Zeraora, were first spotted in the game files after launch? That’s how we knew something was up! And with Mega Lucario Z being confirmed, it totally makes sense they’d give some other fan favorites like Absol and Garchomp a Mega Evolution too. I’m keeping my fingers crossed!
Mega Baxcalibur will be available as a reward in ranked battles starting December 27th.

Every Pokemon Legends: Z-A Feature Confirmed For The Mega Dimension DLC
Recent leaks about the upcoming Pokemon Legends: Z-A DLC and information regarding a potential tenth generation of Pokemon games haven’t revealed any details about the story or new features. However, an official trailer for the DLC did give fans a preview of what to expect on December 10th.
- Mega Dimension DLC takes place in Hyperspace Lumiose, a place similar to the original city.
- Pokemon Legends: Z-A will feature level 100+ Pokemon, both wild and trained, with a gimmick that temporarily raises the critters’ level.
- The trailer shows a score goal to reach in Hyperspace Lumiose and challenges to complete, possibly indicating that some parts of the game will be accessible this way.
- This is tied to a new baking minigame that involves getting Berries in Hyperspace Lumiose to bake donuts for Hoopa to eat, determining the amount of time players will have in Hyperspace Lumiose, the type of modifiers they will get, and what kind of wild Pokemon will appear.
- This is a roguelike-adjacent mechanic.
- The confirmed returning characters for the DLC include:
- Team MZ (Taunie/Urbain, Naveen, and Lida)
- Korrina
- Corbeau
- Philippe
- New story content will be available in the DLC, but it’s unclear what this involves just yet. It’s possible that Taunie/Urbain’s unresolved story at the end of Pokemon Legends: Z-A‘s campaign is continued in the Mega Dimension DLC, as the epilogue during the Infinite Z-A Royale is still vague.
- Post-launch events and ranked battle support are all but confirmed.
Although it hasn’t been officially announced, we expect new Research Tasks from Mable in Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Getting the Shiny Charm seems to require finishing almost all of these Tasks, and the game appears to give you more points for leveling up than you can actually use in the regular game.
