With so much happening in every large Battlefield 6 multiplayer game, it’s easy to miss some of the finer points. Field Specs are important features connected to each class, but they’re often overlooked amidst the chaos.
Field Specs offer players subtle yet impactful advantages, and choosing the right one can significantly improve your performance in a match. This guide explains how Field Specs function and details all available options for each class in *Battlefield 6*.
How Do Field Specs Work in Battlefield 6?
Field Specs are like extra skill sets built around a specific idea. They’re similar to subclasses, letting you customize your character. For example, one Field Spec might make a Recon player a better sniper, while another could make an Assault player even more powerful in close combat, especially when paired with the right weapons.
When customizing their gear, players can choose different Field Specs. However, these Specs don’t work right away—you need to earn points during a match to unlock their special abilities. Unlike standard class abilities, Field Specs take time to become active, and playing well speeds up the process. Importantly, Field Specs reset at the beginning of each new match.
Your score goes up when you damage enemies or support your teammates. If you’re struggling to defeat opponents directly, you can still earn points by helping your team – for example, by marking enemies or assisting with eliminations.
All Field Specs in Battlefield 6
Currently, each class in the game has two Field Specs to choose from. One option is available right away, while the other unlocks as you play. The best Field Spec for you will depend on your preferred playstyle in BF6.
