As players progress through multiple levels in “Donkey Kong Bananza”, they might come across a puzzle piece resembling Fractones, which have pieces missing from their sides. If you speak to these incomplete Fractones, they will challenge you to find the missing fragments nearby. In the Forest Layer, following the right path of The Divide, Fragmentone tasks Donkey Kong (DK) with locating and returning the three missing fragments to restore Fragmentone to its complete state once more.

How To Start The Forest Layer Fragment Quest

In the game DK Bananza, the objective in the Forest Layer is located on an island floating above toxic liquid on Level 601, close to where you drop into the next layer. Once you get to Level 601, open your map and search for a cluster of tangled red vine brambles near a group of sea green cubes or geometric steps.

As an enthusiast, I’d recommend embarking on the Fragmentone quest within the Forest layer by approaching and interacting with the Fragmentone puzzle piece that resides at the heart of an island, nestled gently behind a curtain of vibrant red vines.

All Forest Fragmentone Pieces Locations

Where To Find All Three Fragmentone Pieces In The Forest Layer

In this Fragmentone mission, there are two Banandium Gems up for grabs: locate one of the lost Fragmentone fragments and you’ll receive a Banandium Gem. If you manage to find all three fragments, another Banandium Gem will be yours. To initiate the quest, chat with the Fragmentone-shaped puzzle piece, then examine the two neighboring islands for clues.

If you turn your back on the Fragmentone you’ve been conversing with, you will notice one Fragmentone in the distance on the mainland (close to the Seed), while there will be two on the island to your right side.

To obtain both of these Fragmentones, first, plant a Seed to grow a walkable branch. Once grown, traverse this branch with caution and return to the primary Fragmentone to reconnect the detached fragments. The fragments will follow you upon touch, but they’ll stop following if you move too far away or if they are harmed.

  1. Jump across the poison to get back to the Seed, then pick it up and throw it at the wooden enemy on the left-side island (where the two Fragmentone pieces are waiting to be picked up).
    • The wooden enemy will freeze in place as the branch roots it to the ground and connects to DK’s position.
  2. Walk on this branch, then pick up both Fragmentones and bring them back to the Seed spawn point.
  3. Look on the grass around the Seed to find the third Fragmentone and complete your collection.
  4. Pick up the Seed once more, which will break your existing branch, then create a new path across the gap to get back to the main Fragmentone.

Approach the Fragmentone, and as soon as you get there, the three sections will automatically snap back together, filling in the empty Fragmentone gaps. Once it’s fully restored, you’ll earn 2x Banandium Gems for your assistance in locating all three pieces within the Forest Layer!
