All Heian Lesser Crucibles & Crucible Spikes in Nioh 3

In Nioh 3, both Lesser Crucibles and Crucible Spikes are collectibles that appear on your map as you explore each region more thoroughly. Collecting these items boosts your Spirit Force, and they sometimes block your progress. While only finding the Lesser Crucibles is required for a trophy, it’s best to collect all of them. During the Heian era of Nioh 3, there are 6 Lesser Crucibles and 4 Crucible Spikes to discover, and their locations are detailed below.

Kamo Village – Lesser Crucible

  • Recommended Level: 57

From the Path of Koyama, head down the slope and go forward to find the Lesser Crucible on your way.

Funaokayama – Lesser Crucible

  • Recommended Level: 59

Okay, so once you get to Funaokayama, just head east and stick to the main road. Don’t worry about the enemies, just keep going past them. You’ll eventually see the Frozen Ghost Town Shrine, but keep heading east past that and down the slope – that’s where you’ll find what you’re looking for!

To find the Frozen Ghost Town Shrine, head to the top of the hill. When you’re facing it, go to the left and break the boxes next to the body. This will reveal a crawlspace leading to the shrine and a Sudama.

Funaokayama – Crucible Spike

  • Recommended Level: 59

Go west from Funaokayama and turn right at the very end of the road. You’ll arrive at a clearing with a lake in the center and a ruined house to your left. The Crucible Spike is located in this area.

You’ll revisit this location during the Yokai Horde Picture Scroll myth to battle the Yokai.

Sagano – Lesser Crucible

  • Recommended Level: 62

Starting at the Horiike pond near Arashiyama Shrine, walk south, beyond the enemy camp. When you reach the mermaids, turn left and head toward the building partly underwater. Cross over the building, and you’ll find a Spirit Vein leading upwards to the Lesser Crucible.

Nishiichi – Crucible Spike

  • Recommended Level: 66

When you enter the area from the northwest, take the path on your right. Then, jump over the water to get to and destroy the Spike.

Travel southeast from here to reach a large area containing the Lesser Crucible. To unlock a convenient checkpoint – the Driftwood Fortress Shrine – you can eliminate the enemies at the base to the north, bringing you closer to the Crucible.

Hachijo – Crucible Spike

  • Recommended Level: 73

Starting at the Rajomon: Suzaku Avenue Shrine, head north, passing the Wheelmonks. At the end of the path, turn left to find some breakable icicles. Beyond them is a Spirit Vein, but you’ll need to advance the story to reach it. Once you access the Spirit Vein and make your way to the top, you’ll discover the Spike.

Hachijo – Lesser Crucible

  • Recommended Level: 73

Starting at the Filthy Flooded Street Shrine, head south. You’ll find the Lesser Crucible to the southeast. You’ll need to go there as part of the Putrid Paradise myth, specifically to bring Tatsumaro home.

Rokuhara – Crucible Spike

  • Recommended Level: 77

Okay, so I headed west from the Gion Grove Shrine and dropped down. Then I followed that path until I saw some boxes I could smash and duck under. After that, I found a Spirit Vein I could use to get across, and on the other side was the Spike!

Rokuhara – Lesser Crucible

  • Recommended Level: 77

Starting at the Kamo Riverbank Shrine, walk east into Rokuhara and follow the path towards Gion Grove Shrine. Cross the stream using the tree branch bridge, climb the stairs, and you’ll soon find the final Minor Cauldron in Heian.
