All Highguard Currencies—How Many Are There, How To Earn & How They Work

Many multiplayer games use different types of in-game money, and Highguard is the same. When you start playing, you’ll notice several small icons at the top-right of your screen showing how much of each currency you have.

Starting a new game like Highguard can be a lot to take in. You really don’t want to be stuck trying to learn about all the different currencies and how to get them right away!

Good news! TopMob has created this guide to explain all the different currencies used in Highguard.

How Many Currencies Are In Highguard?

There are three currencies in Highguard, and each one has its own unique purpose.

The currencies in question are as follows:

  • Highguard Gold
  • Warden Credits
  • Vigil Tokens

Like many similar systems, these currencies come with limitations. Each one can only be used for specific purposes, you can’t trade them for each other, and they’re all earned differently.

Don’t worry about getting confused! TopMob has simplified each currency to make things easier for you.

Highguard Gold, Explained

Highguard Gold is the main currency used in Highguard. Players can use it to buy War Chests and cosmetic items from the store.

So, right now, the only way to get Highguard Gold is by buying it directly in the game. Basically, you spend real money – in my case, British Pounds – to get it. There aren’t any ways to earn it just by playing, which is a bit of a bummer.

We hope to see more ways to earn this in the future, like through War Chests or Ranked rewards – many other games do this. For now, though, you’ll need to purchase it if you want something from the store.

Warden Credits, Explained

Warden Credits let you buy cosmetic items in the Trading Post, an in-game store that changes its available items every week.

The Trading Post is like the Store, but it features fewer cosmetic items that you can unlock just by playing the game – no extra purchases needed. You earn the in-game currency, Warden Credits, by completing challenges or simply enjoying the game.

If you’re earning a lot of Warden Credits, keep in mind there’s a limit of 10,000. Once you reach that amount, you won’t be able to save any more, so make sure to use them!

Vigil Tokens, Explained

Lastly, there are Vigil Tokens. You can use these to buy cosmetic items inside War Chests.

You mainly get Vigil Tokens by playing the game. The more matches you complete, the more tokens you’ll earn, which is a good way to give frequent players awesome cosmetic rewards.

Just like Warden Credits, there’s a limit to how many Vigil Tokens you can save up. You can only hold a maximum of 3,000, so remember to use them as soon as you earn them!
