Once you’ve opened up the Iron River region within the game “Once Human”, it’s quite probable that your adventures will lead you to Highland next. This once thriving suburban locale, now in ruins, showcases fragments of its pre-cataclysmic existence, including houses, roads, and shopping centers. However, beware! These areas have been overtaken by the vicious Vultures, making exploration a potentially dangerous undertaking for any brave enough to venture there.
Despite the dangers, Highland offers valuable loot hidden in different crates within the ruins. You can find Weapon, Gear, and Mystical Crates scattered across the ruined buildings. Since Highland can be quite tricky to navigate, this guide can help you find all the crates in this area and maximize your loot gain.
Highland Rift Anchor Location
Like most areas in Once Human, Highland has its own Rift Anchor. You should try activating the Rift Anchor before you start hunting for the crates. The Highland Rift Anchor can be found near a children’s playground at the coordinates (4951, -4555). Be careful though, as Rift Anchors are often guarded by stronger enemies.
All Mystical Crates in Highland
There is only one Mystical Crate in the Highland settlement. It can be found on top of a building, next to the air conditioning vents. You can use the stairs in the alley of the superstore to climb to the second-floor balcony. Then, grab onto the ledge to get to the rooftop and find the Mystical Crate.

All Gear Crates in Highland
There’s only one Gear Crate in Highland, and it is by far the hardest one to get. This crate is located on the rooftop of a building with no doors. You can find a ladder leading up to this rooftop on the far left side of the supermarket. Climb the ladder, jump to the rooftop, and look around to find the gear crate.
